I want to know how to make a unit with a certain item in its inventory fire automatically at certain targets. Just like in Battleships. I have asked this before but the answer was too complicated. Thank you.

Well, I have a simple question: are negative auras triggered? If yes, can you tell me how to do some simply ones(like the negative versions of devotion, endurance, command and unholy auras)? If not, plz tell me how to make they at object editor or tell want forum I can learn it. Thx

To anwser Enu, They're not triggered, but you have to set up something in gameplay constants or something... after that just put a - infront of the value.

These are spells for a mage who uses elemental attacks:
(based from spells from Tales of Symphonia, if you know this game, it can help ;) )

I have allot, so brace yourselves!

GRAVE 1 Pillar of rock shoots out of the ground, then (let's say 4) rocks shoot sideways out of the ground in the target (target is entangled while casting this spell).

Flame Spear A spear ingulfed in fire shoots from the sky on the ground, exploding when it lands.

Ice Arrow A rift is forming infront of the caster. Icicle's shoot from this rift forward and hurting all who are in it's trajectory.

Aqau Laser This will be a improved form from the 'WC3 Crushing wave'. It must be bigger and the front end must be somewhat greater. the hard part (in my oppinion) will be that the wave drives enemies back along the way.

Cyclone This must be like a whirlwind that surrounds the caster and shoots it into the air (just like 'WC3 cyclone') (still surrounding target), but with small wind blasts that rage trough the whirlwind damaging the target.

Judgment This must be an awesome ability. The mage channels this ability; Huge pillars of holy judgement rain down from the heavens, striking in a huge area randomly (hurting undead 50% more).

Indignation Judgment Just like the above, but with a field of electricity and lightning bolts that strike 1 target with massive damage.

Dark Lance A dark circle is placed before the caster when he begins to cast this... Targets inside the circle are entangled (not visible) and lances of shadow strike the area, hurting all creatures other then undead 50% more.

Meteor Storm The most powerfull spell of the mage... The mage summons immense meteors from space that strike the earth, leaving craters behind that are smoldering after the impact doing DoT. This must have a long cast before the meteors fall from the sky and don't be afraid to give it all and make this ability überstrong ^_^.

Angel Feathers I wanna see the caster levitates/ get's angel wings for the spell alone/ have an angel behind him (just what you want) then small Halo's of holy light spiral from the target in an half-oval trajectory towards the target and healing humanoids and damaging undead. This is a quick ability with minor health gain/lost or a long ability with awesome health gain/lost.

Absolute A huge pillar of ice comes from the ground incasing the target, then it explodes and small ice shards fly everywhere and hurting everyone (including caster).

Revenge Everyone in the target area (excluding caster) get's up to 2 negative buffs (poison/ slow/ attack speed down/ you get the idea) these buffs won't last longer then X secs. This must have an ring that begins around the caster and expanding, the enemy's that are being hit by the wave have negetive buffs.

Holy Song Counterpart of Revenge, this will give al ally's (including caster) positive buffs. With the same grafic as before.

Explosion Magma begins to surge from the earth in the given area doing DoT damage. Then when the magma filled the area (not to huge) it all.. EXPLODES! BOEM, BENG, KAPOWIE! (you get the idea )

Resolution A dark circle that targets an enemy infront of you (very small range) and entangle it (circle still visible) then a small 'shadowy explosion' comes and firing the target away and stunning it (optional: Enemy's who are in line of the fired target are knocked back too and stunned). This attack does damage.

Atlas This ability is a mix of water and wind... a huge pool of water entagles targets in an area... then a storm begins to form making this pool in an whirlpooll. The targets take initial damage by the water, then DoT damage by the whirlpool. After the ability they are dazed and have their movement + attack speed reduced by 25% for 5 minutes. The ability has a 10 minute counter.

Sry for this huge post, but when i am thinking about ability's that must be in my map i just can't stop (got even 20 more of them in my head) (map with an huge collection of mages). If some are just too difficult, you can adept it to make it less challenging, but try to leave the idea behind this ability intact. You may also try to make them more spectacular, would love to see what you have for improvements.

i try to do some of the spells. it will be hard thou but i try on one condition....
i can use the spells myself in some of my maps..
there is not realy anything you can do about it but i would like to have your permision...

my friend is killing some dragons so he levels up faster so i can see how the spells realy look...

it will take some time thou i have alot to do, school chicks and World of warcraft(ive played the beta and loved it).

as i said it will take time but i do it as soon as posible.. tell me if you want someone specely much.

Permanitly kills the hero that casts the spell and permanitly kills all of the kind of unit that it was cast on(only for its owner) This Might be vary hard to make

For those who do not know what Xenocide is, it is permanent extinction

Hence the name Duel Xenocide

Duel Xenocide would be pritty easy i will try and do it wit all the other spells i am doing, and i ont be ableto contact u so either get msn or read ur emails.!!

I can't think of a better name for now but here it goes:

Lightning Beam
Sends a beam of lightning to the targeted unit, the condition being there is only one kind of unit you can target. As in, if you give the sorceress this ability, you can only target other sorceresses belonging to you. When the beam is activated, both units lose their abilities besides an ability to cancel the beam. My ideal effect would be this: whenever a enemy unit comes in contact with the beam, they take damage and are forced back. Going back to the sorceress example, if two sorceresses are sharing a beam, another sorceress can come along and share a beam with one of those. You could essentially make a protective barrier around a unit or even your whole base. The beam lasts untill canceled (if a sorceress cancels it and she has more than 1 beam on her, all beams are canceled) or one of the sorceress dies. Let me know if this is in any way unclear.

How do you change the angle of the animation of a spell? like the chainlightning - it looks like it's shooting in a perfect 180*. i need it to be like 90*, which should look like something coming down from sky and strike on something.

This way i can deal with meteor strike, Fiery Scorch, Maelstrom, Oblivion, Mega Flare, Curse of Ankh, etc...

speaking of which, i have a bunch of brilliant ideas of new spell, you can spawn some new spells from them :)

1.Curse of Ankh - a probability of 10% that nearby units will die instantly, this plays as Reincarnation for the hero.

2.Poison Swarm - a cone of poison nova as projectile that can poison and damage enemy at the same time.

3.Eclipse - The power of moon - summons couple of meteors and ripples the ground causing damage.

4.Oblivion - Turning the inflicted unit banished for 3 seconds, then a (finger of death projectile) lightning strikes down upon whoever's marked, instant death.

anyway these are just concepts :)

Well... here is my idea... and spelll i need!

when the unit uses the spell... they did to find an item, but theres only a certain percent, that it will work! and with each level, the percent increases... and also allows u to find better items!
like the chocobo dig system in FF9

Eh, whatever, it doesn't seem like a bad idea. It's not bad at all; it's awesome!
(To be exact, I have no idea what I'm doing whatsoever :P)


Physical Absorbtion
The caster casts a spell that turns a weapon into a very heavy object, reducing movement speed by [%] and attack damage by [%] for 10 seconds. In that time, if the target ever attacked, the damage will be accumulated to restore five times the amount of damage done in total to the caster.

Armageddon
The caster shoots an intense amount of lightning at a target area, dealing [X] initial damage. The lightning will then disperse on the ground, shoots eight lightning bolts that stretch at random distances, dealing [X] each time an enemy touches the lightning.

Curse of the Spirit
The caster ejects his soul from his body, moving slowly in the direction it was shot at. When the spirit touches any enemy or neutral creature, they take over the creature's body, sealing away the original soul, controlling them willingly for [X] seconds. If the body of the spirit dies, then the spirit dies as well.

We can't sumbit more then three?

A spell that can only be used if target unit is sleeping.. Do damage by second like a edited Soulburn...

A Life Drain but with many targets...

Poltergeist

A Storm Bolt with random art models... like.. sometimes the missile art will be a bear sometimes a mountain giant...
