Well, as some of you may or may not have noticed, there have been over 15 spell threads this week. I am here to end it. This is the thread, it will be stickied, and is used for requests ONLY. THere are a few guidelines that you, the submitter, must follow. - Only post 1-3 ideas. Make sure you include ALL contact information. Your AIM, MSN, E-Mail, whaatever you want, the more the better. - Give your requests a proper header. Like this: Spell Name Description, doesn't have to be in italics. Contact Information. Also, you may talk about the spells if you wish, but please, no flaming or trolling. As a spell submitter you have the following rules you must follow: - Your spell, CAN be used publically. It is your job, as a spell submitter, to leave your map unprotected, and PM it to me, or send it to me. (See contact information) I will then after every 5 spells or so, add them to a ZIP file, I will also be taking all of the best spells and putting them in thier own map. Your reward? Your first-break in Spell Making! - If you feel like, add instructions to your map, make it legible, I will spell check it >,<, but at least try! Remember, the more deatailed your spells are, the better chances they will become in the Top Spell Map. - Make them implementable. Some of you may or may not know, but, if you put all your variables into a Trigger as conditions, it will Copy and Paste those into the new map, when you copy and paste that trigger. Making for a easy implement. i would like to see a spell based off of the diablo 2 spells....teeth and bonespear combo.. ^_^ i call it...puruvian pickels! desciption: a swirling spear of cleptic energy with little chives of energy shooting out to the sides. blue color email= [email protected] |

Flying Blades The caster throws X blades in a line in front of them, the blades will always be infront of the caster, moving forward. If the caster turns after it has used the ability, the blades will move to the position the caster is facing. The blades will die when they hit someone or after X seconds have passed since the spell had been cast. Warp Ball I don't know if this is possible it's just a really cool idea. You cast this ability on a unit, it creates a portal infront of you. The portal has a small amount of life. You then lose the ability "Warp Ball" and in its place you get and ability "Power up ball". When you cast this ability a ball of energy will appear infront of you, slowly getting bigger.(As it gets bigger it gets more powerful) You then lose the ability "Power up ball" and in its place is "Stop powering ball" When you cast this ability, the ball will move towards the portal in front of you, another portal would appear next the the target, when the ball enters the portal, it is warped to the position of the target, dealing XXX damage. You then gain the original ability back. If the first portal was destroyed when you were powering up, you would gain the original ability back and it would turn around, backfire, dealing XXX damage to you. Yea, I agree there are probably to many spell request/creation/idea threads. These giant uber threads tend to get a bit bogged down though, it helps if you delete all posts that are not requests. Oh what would also be usefull is a spell "gallery" thread, where people can post their finished spells. Once again these things tend to be hard to navigate so it would have to only contain submissions, ie no comments or w/e. |

Once this thread becomes popular, (I hope), then I will make the gallery thread. That is, after about 15-20 spells have been sent to me. |

Oops, voted "other, post" and then forgot to post. Im curious: will other spell creators be able to make the spells as well? Im a terribly spell creator, I'm just curious. |

I actually think that was the purpose of this thread. So that all spell creators do not need their own thread, and can choose the spells they think will be interesting from a large list. Its purpose is not to stop all threads and say noone can make spells but linkmaster. ^_^ ^_^ |

Kleptik_SOul, I made your Teleport Smash like 1 year ago. I'll post the map up there, just pick which one you need. Remember, I was a noob spell maker then, so the trigger may be messy. |

I'm curious of how you would approach the concept of this multiplayability passive... A passive for towers which causes a grid (invisible) in the area around it, and between the points in this grid objects will fly about, with increasing level there are more objects. The objects, for the sake of description, will be simply called "distortions". When a unit travels through these distortions, they are harmed, but only then, and not when inside the actual grid. That should provide a little bit of a challenge, I say. You need not do it yourself, I simply ask because I wonder how another would accomplish this. Local variables are of course a must. |

Okay... On a graph you have x and y axis and there are points in a grid. Now, draw a circle, and ignore all points outside the grid. A spell in which objects move between randomly defined points, quite simply. And the points remain relative to the owner of the spell. And the objects deal damage. |
