Why do you export to 3DS anyway, it doesn't support mesh deformation, a better type would be the DirectX file type, it supports about everything the m2 or wmo supports ?

And 3ds has a problem with disconnecting verts and smoothing groups, it's fine for static meshes though and that's all I personally am after as I only plan to study these models and not rip them off.

Same here but if you want to study them u can use Ultimate Unwrap3D, u can view every model, u can even see all of them textured, if ofcourse u take the images from the mpq files and add them to the model in Ultimate Unwrap.

I already did all the ( well all cool ) Shoulder Armor for the Alliance ; ) and textured.

Well Ultimate Unwrap is a little..odd.

I'm much more comfortable with max ;)

No, I mean, I ONLY use max to model but I view them ( textured ) in Ultimate Unwrap 3D.

Profets importer. He's taking forever O_o

Personally i'm not much interested in the m2 importer, i just want the mdx importer that can do animations.

okay guys be patient, making a tool isn't easy, especially one like this. I guess thats why no one else is doing it, stop spamming and leave the guy alone...

Heh it may be hard but there's already an importer out there, I'm not supposed to release it because the guy that made it is really only making it for a personal project, it's not a conventional importer and doesn't work properly for me, but according to the two other people that have it, it does work... this guy talked to profet a bit about the m2 format and all that. Profet if you're still reading this, please go on irc some time I'd like to have a chat with you.
