well i dint think you wanted to do a epic size terrian so when i was thinking that LightKirtar asked and i accepted but r you up for terrian for epic open rpg..?

why stop at an epic? listen to this:

Me and another guy had this idea to make a UO rpg map, but it wasnt going to be just one, it was a bunch of maps, using the hero save game code.

So instead of making one boring epic map, you can make numerous maps, like 5 or 6 that are larges, 162x162 size etc. Like say you want a dungeon. Instead of making a crappy dungeon on the epic because you are trying to cram everything into one map, you can dedicate one whole map to a dungeon, like a 128x128, and have players load up heroes using a code like in Tides of the Serpent. Its a hell of alot better way to do it, and itll be alot more fun too

Dude... That would never work. The Legacies code works the way it does due to it being one map. The only way saving system works is if its on one map or if you make all the code variations for all items which firt of all would take months to make just that and also a person could type a random code and still get a hero like lvl 20 if he just started playing. So as you see that wont work. And also a code cant be transfered from one map into another. And last but not least a person could start playing at like the eigth map instead of first.

Dude.... youre an idiot. Lets look at COT waugriff RPG. Looks like he got one code over many maps to work just fine now didnt he. You can type in a random code and get a good hero? hmm. maybe if the code is like 4 characters, you twit. Legacies has a 30 digit code, not once have i seen a level 20 character that someone got by punching in random ****.
Who said the maps go in sequence? as for dungeons, if you want to play as a level 1 guy and get your *** kicked thats your own problem, not the map maker's. So as you see, you need to think before you post. thx

Alright, il write what you totaly missed yet again.

1. Doesnt matter if you might not get a high level character. Any level is any level. Besides, in legacies you dont see it BECAUSE it is one map and the code doesnt work on the same basis. You cant type a random code in that because of the way the system works. It wouldnt work over multiple maps.

2. Even if a person gets killed, still they know a bit about story from start and secondly if he has a higher level friend he can just fly right through which most people will do because they dont know how to play games properly.

3. The reason the codes would have to be so long is because, there would be over 100000 diffrent ways the inventory could look with each hero level. Youd have to make him with this weapon and this item, level one. Then the same weapon and same item level two. That would go on for ages and if you have enough time to waste for that meaningles code then be my guest but its a waste of time.

And also, dont tell people to think before you post if you dont do this yourself.

are you a total DUMBSH1T? If youre going to make a suckass rpg where u share 2000% of the expeirience then yeah, you can do the whole D2 "rush" technique. im ASSUMING that this is going to be a good rpg, so i never thought about that, nor should i need to. I know people who play legacies who got level 15+ guys, and if i try to "leech" off them it doesnt work. If you are making and RPG with each character gets like 9000 hp 3559 mana and 400 damage, then have fun with your suckass game.

Second off, ONCE AGAIN!!! LETS LOOK AT COT PLAINS OF MEDEA!! GUESS WHAT YOU CAN DO! IMPORT CHARACTERS FROM THE PREVIOUS MAP? OH SNAP YOU CAN? REALLY? thx gg shut the hell up

And third, have you ever made a hero save code? no so how the hell do you know how it works? with your 13 year old logic? sorry theres ways around your thinking. If it takes ages, how come how many maps now, 8 or 9? all use them? OH and what else? seems like TOS was released in summer? oh yeah it was, and when was tft released? OH SNAP SUMMER? so it took a month to make the WHOLE MAP, not just the save code itself, alot of other triggers, items, units, and terrain went into the map, d¡ckhead.

Its simple, find someone who can use JASS and do it fast and accuratly, and theres no problem. Why make a map half @ssed when you can make it right the first time.

no one asked for third party intervention, its not your debate, stay the hell out, either prove him or me wrong, dont just say "ok children enough lets all be happy family" It might work in those disney family movies it doesnt work in real life, you try that with people and youll get punched
