Where can I get a program to optimize wc3?
I don't know much about it, but I need to learn

Also how can I compress skin files so they take less kb?

Vexorian's WC3 Map Optimizer should compress your filesize quite a lot, given the right settings

Most BLP files have an option to let you alter the quality. Lower quality naturally means lower filesize.

EDIT!
There's also Widgetizer which can compress the filesize of the objects (units, doodads and the likes)

There's also BLPaletter which can compress BLP files a lot more than lowering quality, as well as saving a lot of it. (almost slipped my mind)

Don't forget to make a backup of your map before changing it (optimization, etc).

Vex's optimizer saves the optimized map as a new file, so you don't have to worry... as long as you don't attempt to save it under the same name, in the same folder.

I dont think Vexorian's Map Opt let syou save over maps, it gives an error when you try to save over a map.

This is so people don't accidently save over their only original, thus losing the map forever.
