Possibly a bonehead question about upgrades...

I'm relatively new to the whole scene so pardon my ignorance. The question is quite simple, really; can one edit the tech-requirements of an upgrade?
Example: Get second level Orc upgrades without having to have a fortress - that kind of action.
If not, any ways around it?

You know what, I haven't checked that. Since I always had a building controlled by me on the screen at any point in time, I just based it off the 'Fortress' be it, and I changed the pathing and the skin of it. I'm sure you can change it, but this is a simple work around.

Yea, that's what it looks like I'll have to do. The only problem I'm having is that I'm using different race upgrades for a certain team; for example a spear-thrower who gets the 'Studded Armour' upgrade of humans and the 'Steel Ranged Weapons' of the orcs.

u can, get winMPQ, open war3.mpq(war3patch.mpq, extract txts and slks with upgrade in their name and edit it
