Units blocking line of sight

What is the best way of doing this?

Loopingly adding/removing los-blocking destructables will cause too much lag and is just simply bad.

Any ideas?

make walking buildings based of neutral ones.

I set Occlusion heights, and nothing happened. Then I made them all buildings, so they had moving units that couldn't be seen through. Pretty badass.

My own units were randomly blocking each other's line of sight, and shadows don't work for these buildings, so nvm.
