I especially love the grated look you gave the ground. The effect of the tiled and protruding temple pieces really hits home wonderfully.

Generic flare doodad or something. I'm copying it for my next one muhaha >:D

Anyways as for the review, it shows a load of skill but honestly I don't think it looks good other from the lighting. The undergrowth looks really odd to me and unnatural, as does the tree. I don't know whether it's the placement, the models you used or just how they don't really look like they have roots, just a bunch of leaves sticking out of the ground. Also how large strands of grass stick up without smaller ones nearby just looks off to me... Anyways my tip for improvement is to put some more tiny plants growing up through the cracks in the tiles (like grass or mini-bushes). That would look really nice and would add to the ruined feel.

*sighs*

I am too harsh a critic.

I actually think the sparcely placed tree and dead/dying brush looks very fitting considering the temple is in a desert. There shouldn't be things growing everywhere. I especially like how the sand dunes creep up the flights of stairs, the effect is impeccable. The only thing I honestly don't like is the head above the entrance to the temple; it's a little too light of a green and clashes with the green elsewhere.

Yea, very nice. And i think the sun rings are the Generic Glow model. Not for shure.

Eznce: Ja, Generic Glow.

Void: I don't see anything wrong with the tree. With the sun and lens flare on the right, the left side would have been too empty without it.
They don't look like they have roots? Roots tend to be underground. o_O

Do you mean the grass on the right side? I don't like it, but actually because it doesn't really fit to the other grass models.
And like Dusk said, it's a desert. There's already enough growing in the screenshot.

Oh... ya, guess I should have given it the dark green of the stairs. It looked better when the whole statue was visible. Fat Glyphe covers everything. xD

I think you over did the sun... a lot... also it looks a bit flat past the temple, where the wall is it just loses all deapth, which is disapointing... Also i would have tried it with a darker fog to get more contrast, the hero doesnt realy stand out at all....

nice work again 2-p, great terraining!

Ahh, I tried to get a sun flare to work for me, didn't go so well. Perhaps I'll just keep one of your terrains open while I try.
