Is it possible to covert a players chat from All chat to Ally chat? (When you push enter and type in stuff, it sends to allies, not all) |

You might not like this, but you *could* use the system described in this thread to hide all player chat messages, and then display ones to allies via Game - Display Text like Vexorian says on the last post of the first page. http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=80691 |

I believe if a player is allied with someone when the map starts, it sets the default chat to ally chat. After this though, the player can change the default chat to whatever (s)he wants, and then you can't do anything about it. |

There are two options in the map which will make players type in either [all] or in [allies], and that choice can not be changed, you simply have to have the players either do FFA, or have teams. If it's FFA than the chat will be in [all], if the players have allies, than the chat will become [allies]. |

The method Furion linked to is the only one I can think of. |
