Half of head only showing inside

Hey there, i made this head in 3ds max 7.0. First i modeled some of the right side of the head and then i did a reference mirror. Then i modeled the rest of the head (At the right side)...

Now i exportet it with DeX tool and opened it with magos. And here's my problem. The side of the head i modeled myself works fine, but the side i mirrored only shows from the inside of the head...

This is actually a modelling issue, not a model editing issue.

Though I suspect your mirrored half's faces are pointing the wrong way: in Milkshape, the solution is "reverse vertex order" on the half you can't see, but I don't know about Max.

Well, i'm sure 3dsm has a solution to that somewhere...

Is it possible to import the model into milkshape, use 'reverse vertex order' and then export it again?

did you weld the vertices along the center seam? And anyway it is best to use a symmetry modifier rather than mirror etc.

What do you mean? I have wielded almost every vertex, but the vertexes going though the nose and mouth are not wielded to anything.

not WIELD man, WELD! From the pic you posted it looks like the vertices along the center of the face are not welded. As I said, just delete the mirrored half and apply a symmetry modifier on the half you modeled.

and how do i apply a symmetry modifier? I'm no expert at modelling..

You don't need to be an expert in order to apply a freakin modifier man...it's FUNDAMENTAL max knowledge...

See that place where it says "Modifier list"? Click on that and a huge list will appear. From there, select the symmetry modifier. If you have questions about that modifier or anything else in particular, just look in the user reference.

Alright it worked just fine =)

thanks a lot
