Yeah, what's the "Line" (the others being missile and artillery and normal or none) do?

It means that the attack will "strike though initial targets and damage those behind"

Damage Spill Distance - the distance behind the target that will be effected.
Damage Spill Radius - the radius of the line that will be effected.
Damage Loss Factor - the damage reduction factor per unit.

A note about Missile Line though: The damage can't take targets (at least I don't think so), so it will hurt everyone: Allies, enemies, neutrals, buildings, etc.

So, basically what it does is it shoots at the target and any unfortunate units in the path of the missile also get injured?

You get at least some control of line targets through Area of Effect Targets. I don't think you can make it just affect allies, but you can definately get it to just affect enemies and to not affect structures.
It seems you can't make it line-target trees; but allies, enemies, neutral, structure etc. are all fully configurable.

Ah, kay. One last question...

Is this compatible with frost and/or slow poison?

No

Well, frost is splash friendly so I thought it might be the same. Poison could've had a new start.

Oh wells,
+Rep to everyone who helped.

The difference between a missile and missile line projectile isn't just about the fact that the projectile is following or not the target ?
The line just attack at target location.
