I have read the guides, I've talked to people, and yet I still have trouble using models. I don't know if I'm doing something simple very wrong, or just having bad luck with them altogether. I delete war3imported\ (or something like that) every time, and yet I just get "Unable to load <filepath here>". If someone could please walk me through this, perhaps on IRC or some such, (maybe point me to a guide I haven't seen before..), then I would greatly appreciate the help. Some models I have tried to import: - http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=94390 - http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=83596 |

If someone says that textures must have no path, just delete "war3mapimported\" and leave it as it is. You should have only the name of the texture in the path. Did you do that? Oh, and I don't like threads like these here because they aren't really about modeling. So moved to general development. |

I've tried that, in some model files the texture paths are Textures\texturename.blp |

In this situation, however, I am still getting the classic "unable to load, etc. etc." message. ![]() As you can see in this one picture, I put textures\ before .blp's, as well as vice-versa,and also for all of them, but no success. ____________________ ____________________ Quote:
Thank you for understanding. ____________________ ____________________ EDIT: I played the "skinned test map", and the problem there was, an "invisible model error" according to this model tutorial thread, by Archian. Under the info grid, it reads as follows: Quote:

Magos model editor (or your everyday hex editor too) tells you the exact path needed for the textures. If you opt to use a hex editor or equivalet, look for anything .blp |

or simply use this to check/edit the texture paths of a model. |

u don't need to delete it on the models, just make sure the textures have the correct paths. it couldn't care less what the models r. also if u wanna see it in editor and ur not importing from ur wc3 folder u have to save and reopen. |

After importing and fixing paths, close world editor completely (not just the map) and re-open, if that doesn't work, then I don't know anymore... |
