Szythe's Tech Effect Pack

So here's my second effect pack. This one's a lot more specific: it contains wc3-themed tech effects, and contains:
  • Sabotage: A Wrench projectile framed with a gray glow and sparkles.
  • Wrench: Sabotage effect, except slightly smaller and without the particle emitters. This one's good for a unit's attack missile (may I suggest the Tinker?)
  • Gear Shield: This effect is made up of 6 different models for more versatility with coding etc. It uses a scratch-made gear-shaped model, with a glow. I ripped the animations from the orbs of vengeance, so each model spins around the hero in a different way. They should all be attached to the "origin" for best effect. The pictures don't do this one justice, you should see it animated in-game.
  • Gear Projectile: The same gear model taken from the gear shield, but animated for use as a projectile

Edit: I uploaded a golden, flashier, version of the gear shield and gear projectile. These are in a separate .rar file.

Sorry, I havn't had internet access for a while. Those are in-game screenies with a black-textured ground. Do I need to put grass under them for it to count?

Also, uploaded the pack. oops.

It'd be best if there was grass under them. The point of ingames is that they show how something looks when it's actually in war3. Chances are, you're never going to be dealing with a black-textured ground, except maybe when doing a terraining map.

Looks neat, perhaps you should include a gold one to help it stand out better and make it sparkle.

Yeah, they're a little bit too gray and dark. They don't really stand out from the terrain that well.

Prehaps stick with the golden colour presuming if it was being used from the Tinker, grey doesn't stand out much depending on the terrain anyways. (northrend dirt for example won't be a good tile to use this with)

All very impressive projectiles, though I was left yearning for a "Jet Pack", possibly based off a many small rocks (a varied animation of Cluster Rocks), which would 'spring' the Tinker in some random direction in the sky.

Model tilt would add to the effect.

Well I was thinking about making a jet-pack, but I would have no use for it in my map. I don't think my modeling is good enough to warrant making models just to release them. If a couple people say they want them though then ill try it.

I'll try to add a ribbon emitter to the rotating gears, add a subtle sparkle, and change them to gold. They had sparkles coming off of them before, but I decided to remove them since they made the shape of the gears very hard to see.
