This is one of the 3 models I'm currently working on, it's a Tigeran Swordmaster. Tigeran were a race I created in my first days of modding, they were skins and the swordmaster was done on a blademaster, you can imagine how bad they were. So on, I decided to revive those old skins but in models. Of course, due to the lack of good tiger skin textures on the mpq, I also decided this would be my first skinned by myself model. |

You're going to animate him too? It's looking quite nice so far, but I'll comment when the texture has progressed a little further. |

I think so... even though when my models get to the animation stage they die xD. |

Well you could use furbolg elder textures for the head, like Callahan did once. So there actually ARE textures for what you need :P Besides, I like the head texture, although it looks a bit odd wrapped on the top. Also, the body armor is too dark for warcraft, you should put more contrast, but as you've stated (and is obvious), textures are WIP. Also, how many triangles? Quote:
Oh, and if you can't animate it, you can simply rig it to already existing animation set :P (but you already know that) |

Not really, the furbolg elder is somewhat crappy if you ask me, waaay too red. |

I really like that he looks super old and wise, but yet like he would kick my ass any day. Don't listen to anything Totally Awesome said, it's totally not awesome to take the easy way out and gimp your models like that. I agree that in-game textures can be very sexy if done right, though, but in nearly all cases it's better to give it custom animations than just rigging in-game ones to it. This isn't the hero contest, it's not about how clever you can be with in-game animations, it's with these models of yours that you can really embellish and show off. By the way, the red parts on the model should be team color. Team color is the shit and should be on every model for WC3, adds that extra ownage level of immersion. |

they are team color, notice the color difference between both screenshots. |

The proportions look really odd |

Looking good. Im just going to complain bout the shape of the face, could be kinda fixed by texture but I think main problem is in the mesh. |

I am saying that the face can look better, seems kinda odd to me. And that if you dont fix the model, then a diferent texture can make it look right. Take a look: nose is bigger: http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/176500...316_tiger2.jpg |

Face needs a bit more emotion, looks kind of like he's just staring off into space. |

Well, maybe I'd have to see him in action. But I think bending his brows down ever so slightly might be ok. Not so much that he looks pissed, but just to add that look of concentration. |
