shadow1500's Shield System

I want to know if there is somebody that can tell me more about shadow1500's system (he has retired so he can't help me) like how to detect the life of a shield ,how to make a shield not to disappear when the hero dies , how to destroy a shield ... and that would be all . Thank you !

This should probably be in triggers and scripts.

Also, does the system mention how to do this? Have you tried methods on your own?

And last, a link to the system/the system code would be a lot more helpful, as just assuming we know exactly what system you mean doesn't help.
