I'll come up with one of those stories for terrains later. It seems everyone does 'em nowadays.

Just some experimenting with [Death]'s shrubby grassness technique.

[Death] is a genius.

Oh and your terrain is good too.

That is pretty nice, maybe if you duplicated the shrubs with a midtoned one, a bright one, and a dark one and variated it might look more natural. :)

But great job on your terrain, it looks nice! I just think the world trees look a little weird, maybe have two rather than 3 and space them out a bit.

Lol, no trunks ftw.

Great river—but even better, is your use of the World Tree. Hands down, it's got to be the most creative, and well-blended (coming from my P.O.V. of the screen shot) I've seen of a World Tree, yet.

By it, the 'forest' underbrush, which I just felt to be missing something... the correct use of mass-doodads, terrain, and height is there, but perhaps a bit more ground could have been shown (maybe by the river?).

Your choice of trees seemed fluent with the terrain theme, but it just didn't blend well when you spliced it with the World Tree on the right side of the river. I do applaud you for trying something new, though.

Lastly, the river—skinned waterfalls, or not?—I know how hard it can be to make them using height mapping, but you really did a good job, and harnessing the looks of the (I'm guessing) Ashenvale water, it also holds a realism.

Overall, good job, but I know you can do better.

i love how you can see into the bottom of the river
again, zoom out and take this picture with a higher resolution, i'd like to be able to see more than just this tiny piece of your terrain, though it does give a feeling of cozyness
