Hi! This map is my version of Diablo2 Act I. It's not finished (work in progress) but I hope it will be soon. :) At this moment you can choose Warrior (max. 19 lvl) or Archer (max. 9 lvl) as your hero. Caster will be added in later versions. Gameplay is similar as it was in D2. Items which you'll gather in the middle of doing quest and slaying monsters are randomly generated so there are many combinations to find (gray - with socket, white - normal, blue - magic and green - unique). Like I said, this map isn't finished so it probably has a lots of bugs but I'm still working on it. :) This map is made as a campaign and is using game cache to store your hero. There are some places game will save your progress by itself but if you want to do it manually just write -save. And one thing, don't use standard W3 saving - it will crash the game when you will try to load it. IMPORTANT! Before you leave the game, write -save and when you want to load it just start the map and then choose "load your hero" from campaign window. I hope you like the map! http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps.php?id=8mmvge http://vodzoo.w.interia.pl/Diablo2/Diablo2_0.43.w3n |

Thee things instantly put me off: - No inventory system as far as i can tell. - Not the original classes/characters. - The graphics are absolutely disgusting. |

Well, there is inventory system. I spend lots of time doing it. Just press "F8" or "~" key. For abilities press "ESC". Quote:
And? It's not exact copy of Act 1 as I wrote. Quote:

By graphics, I think means the terrain, which is kind of mediocre. |

I know terrain isn't perfect but "absolutely disgusting"? Don't you exaggerate? |

He doesn't. People are tired of maps that SHOULD reassemble something but they DON'T. There are like five or more "Diablo II LOD 1st act!!!" maps. However, if you want to make a map worth playing, make it more like this: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/s...+1+map+terrain |

plus i smell(see) exported models correct me if i am wrong. |

Yeah that devil chick is from teh wow. Look i'm not trying to offend you personally, even though i might be, but the terrain, the exported models... The combination of it all just looks fake. Some things dont match, stick out too much, and put together it looks fake. Disney-Land fake. And in your original description, you didnt mention anything about an inventory system, nor a skill-tree system, wich i find the most important thing about a DII map. if you cant get the controls right-- k, fine, i can live with point-and-click diablo spells though highly impractical. --- All of that aside, wc3c is a community that keeps an eye out for quality. We like that. And me as art director especially, wont be shy to confront you with your maps shortcomings. |

Overall, even though terrain isn't perfect (actually, VERY FAR from perfect), you could partially fix it by adding some atmosphere. What I mean is, add some light sources, fog, set it to midnight... You know, diablo is not all that light. |

Sorry for multiposting but I added 4 new screenshots in first post. They show inventory, abilities system and a piece of Blood Moor terrain. |

If you can pull it off like that, and it would work, it would be really aweosme. Keep it up. Though it will still be lacking on graphics... |

This works fine since the beginning. I just didn't write about it. Play the map and check it yourself. :) |

In ver. 0.41 I added Caster as a third playable class (screen shows his abilities). Enjoy! :) http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps.php?id=8mmvge |
