Hi all, newbie here both in this forum and in terms of importing custom models into Warcraft III First of all, here are the programs I use: 3Ds Max 8 'Dex 0.185m.mcr (Creating the MDL file) BLPconv.exe (Converts TGA into BLP) MdlxConv.exe (Converts MDL <>MDX) Ok, I followed around 5 tutorials online both here and on other sites and I keep having the same problem. My model comes out invisible. Now I know that the texture paths needs to be exact, but after rigorous research, I found out that it's because I'm missing some codes, at least that's what I think. (I also tried both "NAME.BLP" and "Textures\NAME.BLP") Now, I think it could be my exporter but I'm not sure. So I'm going to attach my MDL file here to show you what I get after using the 'Dex script to create the MDL file. Also, this file is before I touched it. If you can see, it's missing a LOT of stuff from the codes I seen. I have no idea why, what and how to get those missing files. I read about Geoset mergers, I tried various other exporters like "impexpdmx.ms" and impexdmx.mse" and other converters. I spent an entire 3 days trying out every single thing possible but I end up with the same results. An invisible character. So if anyone can help me with my problem, I would greatly appreciated. I just need a working character to show as part of my university project regarding game engines and character design. Thanks in advance Deathfist |

I think your exporter is totally shot. That there isn't anywhere close to what an MDL needs to be to exist. |

Yes, your *.mdl file is missing much data. How does look like your cliff model in 3Ds Max 8? Seems Dex 0.185m.mcr can't export almost nothing only starts and then stops. |
