Yes what is your favorite game type?

This poll is for a mapping project(name still depending)

Find info about it here. Our own forum will be up in a couple of days

It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but in all of the genres I enjoy my favorite aspect of them is challenge. If a map is not extremely challenging, regardless of its genre, then I simply will not enjoy it at all.

Same as dusk, I prefer to pick maps, regardless of genre, if I like the map, I will play it. However, I really love single player rpgs (NOT ORPGS).

Hmm... It's been awhile since I actually played Wc3. *sigh* It's a little difficult to choose... but... Hmm. I'm picking Other(Racing), even though Azeroth GP is the only map for that.

Huh? Wow, I guess there's more than Azeroth GP. Still though, racing maps are hard to find.

The first proper triggered map I made was a racing game called "Roadkill", which was just a siege tank riding over skellies :)

Back to the poll, this is quite a difficult decision :/

It's somewhere between Survival, TD, ORPG and Tag.

TD but it has to be original. If its not original it's boring.

Where is the singleplayer RPG option? I don't remember the genre having ceased to exist.

I really don't think single player anything should constitute its own genre. I mean, I suppose "campaigns" can get away with it since you can't achieve a campaign in multiplayer, but certainly everything else can be bundled into other primary genres.

There is marked difference in the way one designs a singleplayer anything to a multiplayer anything. At the very least, "singleplayer" should be apart from everything else.

Design-wise, sure, since you're not only allowed more options (Because arrows keys don't necessarily suck in SP), but you also have severe limitations because there is no PvP or coop whatsoever, so you have to compensate in other manners. Regardless of the design, however, the genre of the map still follows other predetermined archetypes.
