TcX is a new advanced Warcraft III UMS map. Its idea was inspired by Warcraft: Arena map, which, being released 4 years ago, was a successful attempt of mixing gameplay elements of Quake 3 and Warcraft.
Now it's available at brand new implementation level, featuring many new models, effects and fast-paced unique gameplay.

Key Features:
  • Single player with unlimited number of AI bots, available in 5 different skill levels;
  • Full support for multiplayer with up to 12 players and observers;
  • Three game modes: FFA, TeamPlay, CTF - with full AI support for all of them;
  • 8 different weapons, all of them have upgraded versions;
  • Custom movement and projectile system, allowing complete control over your character, including ability to jump and to drop down from high areas (and yes, fall damage is present).
  • Dialog-based configuration menu in addition to typical chat commands;
  • Completely customized terrain, models, effects, UI and sounds.

it has implement new features.
  • Advanced movement system (via Mouse)
  • Auto attack (makes attacking target more easy)
  • Advanced character system. add ALOT new stats,bonuses etc.
  • Advanced Full Screnn Inventory system (based on BX-TRSII)
some important details...
controls
up+down key - toggles advanced movement system. (allows to move your character with left mouse click)
this effect can be also achived by holding left + right and pressing left mouse button.
while you are in this modes you can't fire at ground. to do that press (and hold) down key.

Auto attack is enabled when you target a unit. it will appear a "cilyndrical" special effect on this unit (and also it will be pinged on minimap). so if this target is near enought your character will attack it automaticaly. by targeting on your self you will loose focus (or targeting on ground aka fire on it)
any of new features may be disabled/enabled by wish. so you can also play the original TcX (for example.)


Ok. Replaced (setted as default) basic movement to mouse movement (movement with left mouse button similar to wc3) completed stuff what i wanted. especially alot of items.

for some control help you can view the quest log (F9)

it's a beta. but if there will be not stupid bugs,problems so it will be the realease version. (it taked ~8 months to do that =O but the most time i have been planing this all ^^)

the game may be bit boring with bots. but with other players it's quite fun ^_^. the fast paced PvP gameplay makes it possible =)

and remember what many in the map may be controled with special commands... for example you can disable globaly possibility for jumps, set the gravity.

Sweet map, some comments
  • I can't figure out runewords.
  • Game is too easy against bots (normal) after about 15 minutes
  • Bots are somewhat retarted when playing CTF (normal)
  • Hard to find ammo for certain weapons ex. Railgun, Rocket Launcher
  • really hard to click on jumping bots to start shooting them (hard+BX)
  • Bots don't seem to level up or use items
  • guns and flag fall through bridges on death.
  • Flag can fall into the black unwalkable zone on edges of map if player dies there.
  • Commands should be condensed. (you can fit more than 3 commands per quest.)

Other than these things i really liked your map. 4.5/5

idk battle.net (see for diablo2 lord of destruction)

you need to put required shard in required order into simple (not unique,set etc) item. and this item must have the exact socket count so after you will have no sockets left.

guess why they called hard and BX... xD

they don't use items the does buy specific stats for gold. but they does level up properly. (normal bots suck. anyway they are for newbies)

no you are wrong don't fix me at things you have no idea. have you tried to save TcX ? well ofc it will work fine due ALOT of fixes i make on save and load...

aka to long strings (in quests for example) might crash war3 on loading saved game. (i had such issue)

there are alot of "strange things" in TcX... but sometimes they really need to be so.

To be honest, I liked this better when it was a simple point-and-click shooter with awesome lasers. Now it's too complicated.

and ? =) i like it more complicated. cause it gives you possibility to different interesting builds...

+ omg don't cry...

-mod 0 will return default mod =) ... Tc doesnt make shit 8-) you can fully restore the old one.

Maybe that should be somewhere in the game. (no offense)
1 more thing i noticed. There is a menu if you press escape. I didnt see that anywhere and figured it out through random experimentation.

NOTE: my internet is crap so i cant play war3 online, so dont use these comments for online tests.

and the size of 1.00 is 2.95MB
1.03 is 3.56MB

well you don't want to see any changes thats the problem =)

I downloaded 1.03 lite (the map submission forum one). That was 1.8MB. The terrain was definitely different in that.

it's takes 1.8MB maybe cause it's Lite ?! =) ...
+ the textures are "different" not the terrain...

+ here is the preview version =) the lite is release 1.03 version.
+ no one force you to dl/play/test something.

a useful tip to reduce lag:
change 0.01 sec period trigger to 0.04 (will lag less 4 times, and, you will SEE the same)
just multiply the number of effects by 4.

know that the eye copy image to brain every 0.04 seconds (this was really helpful for me in my map)


and yeah a suggestion: how about more map terrains? i really got bored from the same one again and again )

btw is there a changelog?
