Basically the assignment is to do a 3D board game of either Chess, Monopoly, that-board-game-that-involves-planes(NFI what it is called), Snakes and Ladders. My crappy modeling will probably make you unable to tell which one I chose. Posting for the luls. Useless info: Modeled and rendered in Maya 8.5, textures are done in Photoshop CS3 Extended. OS used is Windows XP, gotta thank Microsoft for giving me random blue screens. |

I'm guessing it's Monopoly. |

anyway, it's pretty neat regardless of the automatic photoshop brick textures :P. Weren't you allowed to use normal maps? |

:D TBH I'm crap at materials and stuff as for now. I probably need to spend less time posting random crap in OT forums. |

The creator of Snakes and Ladders eventually later on created a game called Lode Runner which was very similar to that, but featured a bit more like it being 2-player compatible and Lode Runner was the first game to ever be created which came with a 'map editor' for players to use. Just some game history for ya'. Looks very nice. Not the best that I've ever seen for WarCraft III, but for a remake of a board game, I think it's really good! Good job IMO. ~Craka_J |
