I need ideas, mainly the face. Yes, the model is modified a bit, made his cloak into a coat :P This also generated a noob war in the comments on THW, lol. |

I'll split my comments into two groups for ease of reading.

lol, i saw that. i agree with all of Dusk's comments on this. since you're making a model edit of this, do yourself a huge favour and fix the fandagling awful bloodmage face wrap. IMO its one of the most deceptively nasty wraps... particularly the eye area - put 1 pixel out of place and BAM. anywho, this is part of the palette i've been using for my recent skins. I block out the basic shadows and highlights with the 2nd and 4th colours then use the 3rd to smooth, and 1st and 5th to accent the shadows and highlights. you can change the lightness or saturation to suit whatever suits your needs. hope it helps :) Oh! and for the nose, erm... well it's hard to describe so i'll draw you a picture. yeah, so it's not the greatest example in the world, but you get the idea. try smooth out that area |

Hrm, I can't really make out the face properly from that angle and the rotated in-game portrait is too small to figure out. I think it looks better, but that you might need to take a little more of AR's advice for the color blending across the face. It may seen tedious at first, but it helps a lot. Also, for the armor, you're still lacking the metal-feel. You basically just lightened the whole thing, which doesn't make it look like metal, rather limestone. I dug out this texture from the database for a good comparison. See how those quick shifts from light to dark based on perpetual lighting make it look very much like metal? You need to approach in a similar way. Recall again the metal ball I linked to above, that shows how rounded areas of metal should shade when you're looking at it flat-on. (Like in, say, a texture wrapped to a model!) You also didn't show the cape, so I have absolutely no idea if you fixed my concerns there. Oh, and the mantle still has the batman thing going on, though if you really like it I suppose I'm in no position to tell you to change it. :p (It just looks weird and out of place, personally) |

It's as blended as you can get, the problem I think is I pushed the shadows too far aside, making them virtually invisible. I really don't know how to make metal then... I added folds to the cape. It is quite choppy, I did my best to make it work.. Also, attached the unwrap. EDIT: Tried to make it metal-y :/ |

From just the unwrap, I'm digging the face. Search this thread for a metal tutorial, I know one's there. It really shouldn't be that difficult at all, but some users have tons of difficulty with it. The cape looks like it should be okay, I'd like to see it wrapped, though. Good stuff on the whole now, though. |

Re-check :P |

You're cooking with gas now, just blend the shades on the boots a little better (Recall that this wraps in a round fashion, so the metal shades should blend) and you're golden; then you should probably check it wrapped and see how much better it is. :p |

I think it'll work. |

Terrible background color choice, but from what I can tell I think it looks pretty good now. :) |

Okay then, time to compile another screenshot. |
