Item Spell to Hero Spell PLEASE Help!

Anywas, I have never been able to succesfully convert a normal unit spell or item spell to a hero spell.

I'm trying to convert the Book of the Dead ability to a hero spell with three levels and same with Cripple. I've also tried to make Ensnare a hero spell, but it didn't work. (NOTE: I havn't tried to convert the Cripple or the Book of the Dead yet. But I just know it won't work because the other ones I tried to convert never worked)

Please help out! I'm trying to make a new hero with the spells and they just won't work!

Theres boxes that say "is it a Hero Spell?" and "is it a Item Spell?". You gotta make sure that the item spell box is a 0 or not clicked, and that the hero one is 1 or is clicked. Then it has a "Unit" and a "Item" field. Set that to "Hero". And for the unit spells, you gotta go into the txt and remove the requires field, otherwise you would have to research so your hero would start learning spells.
