Very nice, I don't like her togue thingy snakish slithery thing.... Maybe removing it would look better? And her thumb on the far left is freakishly weird, looks more like a paw |

The biggest issues I see are the oversized (Even for their position relative to the observer) fingers, the way the fingers curve too sharp, the way her eye is shaped, and the way her eye is looking in an incredibly unnatural direction. Oh, and your apple looks like a tomato, but I still love it! |

In case you didn't notice, she's not supposed to be human :P Also, how is the eye looking in an unnatural direction? She's staring straight at the viewer. |

That nose is freakey. |

Most disconcerting the chubbyness of her figures it just looks silly they look like big sausages. Imo the pic is good other then that. |

The index finger should be more to the left side of the apple and the thumb should be hidden more behind the apple to show better support from the rear of the apple. The fingers look a bit porky and the nails go upward like she's holding it by her fingertips - which she's not - and should face more towards the viewer of the picture. Make the nails shorter, but wider to make it look like it pops forward to the viewer more. Her eye is way too wide and looks a bit too far up on the face. The wings of the nose also need to be visible, looks like a fleshy skeleton nose. Her hair has little texture - looks like liquid or clay almost - and the outlines of the hair are way too thick. I suggest you add more skinny lines in the hair to give it more texture and... do something with the outline. And what is that red thing in her mouth? The lips, chin, that part of skin above the lip but below the nose, and the tip of the nose and nostrils (not the wings of the nose hower), are pretty well drawn however. I also like the cloak too, even though it looks kind of dull. The majority of the picture looks dull and cartoony. You'll need to work on your colors. Overall, it has a lot to be worked on, but some parts of it are nice, like the mouth. [edit]: The unnatural direction of her eye is basically due to how the 'pupil' of the eye is green instead of black. I cannot see the pupil, thus it looks like she is rolling her eyes up like the undertaker or something. I know she's inhuman, but there needs to be a pupil to define exactly where she is looking. If she is looking straight forward, her head should be tilted downward/forward if her eye is to stay the same to look 'at you'. For now though, the eye should be centered, along with the pupil. ~Craka_J |

Seems weird, as if its traced, her fingers are also stubby as if they are of a males. |

The pupil is a snake pupil btw, a slit, not a circle. Also, i find it quite amusing all these people telling me how the proportions ect are all wrong, as the picture is modelled off one of my female friends from Uni who kindly posed for a picture. I used rulers in Photoshop to construct the guidelines for the image, the size, shape and structure are all taken exactly from real life. The fingers, for example, were exactly that position and 'chubbyness' in the image. To clarify, i took a picture and then measured off the distances and sizes involved to create the skeleton, i then drew the colors in over the skeleton. I did not draw over a picture. |

I see what you mean, the fingers aren't chubby, they're just really close and you can only see part of them. maybe you should draw in the bottoms of her knuckles and stuff (just faintly or with reflects?) to clarify it a bit. |

Yeah, she's holding it right in the face of the viewer. The knuckles thing is possibly valid, i'll keep that in mind if i use this pose again. |

ok, i didnt read the other posts, so ill just post what needs to improve; - the thumb, i mean, what is even going on? my nail doesnt come out of my finger tip... - Index finger is crazy, it gets realy fat near te bottem... just check out the fingers to make sure they make sense. - snake tounge doesnt look good, maybe if the mouth was open and kinda hissing, rather then just dopey tounge out... ur choice but i would not have it - the nose is just screwed, its banana shaped, and the end of it is just screwed, its not even symmetrical or in the middle! - the iris of the eye... why is she lookin up so much, its weird.. - lighting on the left and right sides are not the same, just have a look at it again Other then those issues, it have a bit of a look at the lighting again, and rework it. nice picture and pose, and concept, looks pretty cool. I like the slightly warped perspective, looks nice! BTW; loving ur sig, i hav not good enuff grapics card to run it =( damn u integrated graphics card... |

There are two light sources in the image, a soft sun colored one in the top rightish, and the red apple. The nose, well i'll tell my friend everyone on the internet thinks her nose looks unrealistic. |

The fingers are still incorrect, I'm absolutely positive. I want you to grab an apple (Or a tomato) and go up to a mirror. Now hold the apple right up next to the mirror and tell me how gigantic your fingers are. Are they 2 inches across? Do they wrap like the pictures' fingers do? (I hope not) They aren't far enough apart, maybe take a gander at that legendary Escher picture for good reference. Anyways, I think it's good, but that you need to use a mirror more when drawing people or humanoids in general, especially with the proportions. This is a shitload better than I could ever manage, but it still could yet be better. Keep it up, though! |
