Changing unit attack index?

Is there any way to do it without using some orb ability?

Chaos morph into an alternate form but that's rather costly editor-wise.

The other solution is upgrades.

i saw one option on an ability, i think the Root ability, changes attack index, just set both morphs to the same unit.
