Skinning Contest #15:
Crypt Lord

NOTES:
OK people, the 15th Skinning Contest is on! For this contest, you must skin the Crypt Lord model into anything you so choose. Be creative! The Crypt Lord texture also applies to the scarabs and locusts, and while you may include them in your posed shots, they are not the focus of this contest.

RULES:

• You are required to make one texture for the Crypt Lord model.
• No model edits at all are permitted.
• The skin has to be atleast 90% freehand.
• You must post at least 1 WIP skin before deadline.
• To qualify for entry, you must post your .blp, an ingame shot and a posed shot (composition of images as you see fit).
• You must post your entry before the deadline expires.
• You must make the textures FOR this competition. You cannot use old skins.
• Textures must be no larger than 256 pixels in any dimension, though you may work in 512, but they must be resized when submitted
• If there is only one submission at the end of the deadline the contest will not take place

Texture must be at least 90% freehand and while you may work in 512*512 resolution (or higher) if you choose, your final submission must be in 256*256 resolution.

The contest closes one month from now on the July 27, 2008 at 00:01 GMT (just helps for reference, I'm +10hrs GMT here).

Winner will be decided by public poll after the contest is over. I've posted the UV map (as well as the model and .tga texture) to help work out where everything is, just in case you need it. It uses the portrait version of the face and head armor area.

OK, here´s a REALLY rough idea of what i´m going to do. I still have to think of the color scheme and basically think what kind of warmor i want to make.

If you can´t tell what this is, it´s supposed to be a dullahan (a.k.a. cursed armor in my dictionary), so it´s going to have lots of alphaed out parts.

Ugh I gotta think Up a theme. Nirv, your skin reminds me off the Necrons in warhammer 40k

Cool theme - always loved the crypt man's model. Sadly my art failage means that I won't be entering.

Only face so far, it's pretty difficult to work with.

Screw that, dude! I've entered every spell and hero contest since I've been on this website and I've hosted at least 4 of them myself. You are more than welcome to enter, and as a matter of fact I encourage it. It helps motivate others to join if the staff jumps in and participates too. (If you're still unsure, notice that in the past Olof has entered contests he hosted)

Nah, I don't think I will, I'm semi-retired from Wc3 modding. and I'm also quite busy with other stuff.

I will maybe join :p But I'm going to Germany in a few days so I won't be able to skin for like, 10 days? But Well, count me in.
