Ok despite having played wc3 for a number of years, i dont truly understand how the "incinerate" skill form melee works. If i understood it correctly, Incinerate causes attacks of the Firelord to deal stacking damage with every coonsecutive hit and causing an explosion on death. Finally, what does the object editor field "Bonus damage multiplier" do? |

I think the "Bonus damage multiplier" field is how much it multiplies the attack damage by whenever you attack. (This is just a hunch, though) |

btw, Incinerate is horribly screwed in custom spells, avoid it at all times when doing custom maps. How it works is very simple. It adds a certain amount of damage, in this case we shall choose level 1 Incinerate, so it adds 1 damage to the heros attacks. Any consecutive attacks on a target with the incinerate buff then get damage equal to the original damage modifier (in this case, 1) multiplied by the bonus damage modifier multiplied by the number of previous attacks. In this example, a unit which had been struck 4 times previously by incinerate (aka, this is the fifth attack) will take bonus damage equal to 1 x (1.00 x 5) damage. Damage x (Damage Multiplier x Number of Attacks) |

There are also 2 "Incinerate" abilities, and one of them does absolutely nothing. I'm unsure which now (how helpful), but just a heads up. |

No-oo, there's 2 incinerate abilities, one is a passive and one is an arrow (like Searing Arrows). They both work. Custom versions of them do not work however. Well, you get the explodie, but no damage bonas. |
