Quick opinion

Okay, so if I'm making an AoS, and a few (few) heroes have auras, should I use the basic blizzard blue ring, or should I get creative and add different effects that better match? A couple spawns might have auras as well, so...

Which would be easier to play with? Blue rings, or attached effects?

Ring, of course.

I think you should go crazy with effects instead of blizzards blue ring.

I think you should use both.

I planned on using both. Blue rings for unit auras, effects for hero auras. And only a few heroes have them, so it won't be insane SFX spam.

you should use volcano for all of them, no I'm kidding.i find the blue rings really clean so i'd say go with them. it's to bad they don't come in different colors...

That can be changed... If you have some fx maker.

If you have a blue ring, you can't determine if the unit has more auras or just one. Thus, it is better with SFX (more descriptive) though you must find a sfx that matches.

I agree, because you're also less likely to wonder what auras you do have. Because if your unit is on fire, you're probably more apt to see what's causing it.

Use Jet's stuff, because those thend to match.

He did say few auras, and you can always look at buffs if youre wondering if more than one is on.

I vote for looping infernal meteors on every unit that the aura affects.

I'd say custom fx for the hero part, and possibly a custom version of the plain blue aura ring. Like for example, something simple like the blizzard blue ring, but a little different to give a nice look to it.
