I can't seem to get this spell "Orb of Annihilation" to do splash damage when i make it into an ability for one of my hero's. i've tried even making the damage areas very huge to test and it still doesn't show it hits other units. is this spell broke? |

The weapon type probably has to be missile splash, like with the destroyer. |

There's only two real "broken" spells that Blizzard uses in common play. That's Cluster Rockets and Flamestrike. Just do what Alexander suggested and try missile splash with it. |

Im pretty sure abilities based off Incinerate dont have stacking damage that works either. |

Incinerate and Cluster Rockets are the only ones i've ever had issues with, how is Flamestrike broken? But yes, OoA only increases the splash radius value of your projectile, it doesn't change the actual missile type, so your attack has to be set to 'missile - splash' but just have no actual splash radius. |

Somebody made a post about how Flamestrike doesn't always deal the correct amount of damage... I can't remember where, though. |

It does; it's just a bit confusing on how to make it deal the amount of damage you want. (The fields are a bit obnoxious to work with). And how is cluster rockets broken? I've used it before without too much hassle (almost no hassle, actually). I know incinerate doesn't work though; you either modify the default or don't use it at all. |

By "broken" I mean either: a. The fields are exceedingly difficult to work b. The fields don't work c. There's parts that can't be altered I dunno, someone said and I've been having problems with Cluster Rockets. Well it's nice to know I got some things corrected today. |

I don't know if this is enough to be considered broken, but as Burning Rose (?) said in another thread, if you make a buff based on Cluster Rockets' buff and use it for a Cluster Rockets-based ability, the ability does the stun but not the damage, and if you change the buff to stunned, it does the damage but not the stun. |

I'm gonna save this thread and update my weird Blizz ability thread. Thanks for that info. |

That's actually really awesome, I always found the stun an anoying limitation given Cluster Rockets funky projectile streaming goodness. |

If you want streaming projectiles without stun I suppose healing spray can be used to get that effect, from what little I've seen of it it seems similar to cluster rockets in that regard. |

Oh so thats why CR sometimes worked and sometimes didn't, and i wish i'd known about that stunned buff thing when i was still interested in modding WCIII. Handy, learn something new every day. |

Ha, that's where I read it! :P http://wc3campaigns.net/showpost.php...2&postcount=16 And I was right, it was Burning Rose. You even responded and said you would add it in the next post :P It was very useful to me, I had an ability not working correctly because it used a custom Cluster Rockets buff. |
