Is this "Title" taken?

My friend and I are going to form a spell-making team, and we wanted Burning Alliance to be our name. However, the name sounds vaguely familiar to me, so if anyone knows of a map/group/clan already known by that name, we'd like to know so we don't confuse anyone.

I have never heard it....maybe you are thinking of Burning Crusade?

Well the 3 things I found that might've thrown me off are:

Burning Legion (Race)
Burning Crusade (Expansion
Broken Alliances (Map)

So, unless someone says otherwise, it'll be Burning Alliance. Cool.

i can guaranty it has been taken multiple times. the question is whether it's being using in wc. probably although if they're not major it doesn't really mater. it does sound kind of corny though, more like a game name. what ever, its your name

Eh, not that it doesn't sound good, but it kinda sounds plain. Something more original-sounding or witty would be better. "Burning Alliance" sounds like a guild on WoW or GW, not a spellmaking team. But that's not what the topic's about. I havnt seen anyone (prominent) with that team title though, so you should be safe.

"Burning Alliance" does sound a tad corny, I'll admit. But it was all I could think of at like, 3 in the morning, and the name kept coming into my head, so it stuck.

"We suck at naming" would be a good name.

I'm considering "Equipped Chaos" now that I've (pretty much) finished the logo, which is a sword, backed by a tattered shield, surrounded by chaos flames (green flames). Is that slightly better than "Burning Alliance"? (I'm aware the latter was quite corny, but at 4am it sounded pretty durn good.)

it sounds odd, but yes, I'd say better. almost anything sounds good at 4am, especially with a couple of cans. i fucking hate naming, it's a pain in the ass to find something original, good (sexy for girls lol), and pronounceable.

Naming does suck, especially when you've already gone through the trouble of drawing a logo for a name you thought sounded epic at 4 am.

Equipped Chaos sounds a lot better, darkwulfv.

Anyways, we decided on EquippedChaos. Our account is made and our first post is made in the Triggers and Scripts section...

But since it's a new account, the post isn't going to show up till a mod/admin allows it to *poke poke*. But uh, hopefully that will be done soon. Thanks for the feedback on our name. It's definitely better than Burning Alliance =p
