Hi, I found an awesome new bug that Blizzard created along with the patch for no reason, but it's so rare that nobody will ever care about this! 1.) Have an item. 2.) Have a shop that sells this item, and place it into the map. 3.) Insert a messed up "<x>" tag into the "Extended Tooltip" of the item, just don't have anything legal like <Aluw,Dur1>. 4.) Insert more than 61 characters after the "<x>" tag. 5.) Now the game will crash on loading, but it is not the usual wc3 crash you would get, it's a "windows" crash that does not even go to the ErrorReports in the WC3 folder! If you are unsure what to do, just create a new map, place a Goblin Merchant into it, and change the "Extended Tooltip" of "Scroll of Town Portal" to: <x>xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Background: I had a tooltip with a smiley face like this: "<'-'>..." Rofl, and ever since 1.22 released, my map started crashing on loading... |
