Templars of S'ziik: A Naga Campaign





Hello, I'm frankie11. I have decided to make a Naga Campaign. I feel that Warcraft 3 is incomplete without one. Anyways, my project is called Templars of S'ziik: A Naga Campaign. Enjoy!

Setting: From newly raised sunken temples and islands to Outland and the Icecrown Glacier, the three Naga clans establish camp.

Characters: Arthas (Lich King), Illidari Naga, Naga of S'ziik, and the Ice-scale Naga, Illidan, Lady Vashj, and many more.

Plot:
(WiP) The three naga clans are gathering strength separately in order to meet up and combine their various strengths to destroy the scourge. The Illidari Naga set up camp in the Zangarmarsh of Outland and continue to thrive on the area's many fertilities. The Ice-scale Naga are set up in Northrend all the way up to the Icecrown Glacier holding their ground against the most elite of the Scourge. Meanwhile, the Naga of S'ziik are popping up all over the eastern coast of Kalimdor up near Aszhara. They are newly raised naga, being imprisoned since the high elves making their rage insatiable. A mysterious idol(ess) called S'ziik has apparently been in meditation since before the Night Elves and has finally raised up all the ancient temples. They must all join together, despite their hatred towards each other in order to destroy the Lich King and his Scourge. Will their power suffice?

I felt sad for you since you got no replies, just kidding, anyways. Sure this seems nice, but it is hard to tell from a project that you consider is 8% done. Though the plot sounds promising, I guess this is another, fuck the WoW lore and continue where TFT left us, which is a good thing imo, since WoW is a lore-assraper. Judging from your screenshots, the terrain looks OK, it is neither awesome but still mediocre for a map, I guess. Some places especially the coasts could use some more work, since they seem to simply consist of a tile of sand. I hereby end this post by wishing you good luck, and hope to play a good naga campaign in the future.

I'm assuming each sect of Naga will have it's own set of skins to match its environment?

hah.. no-- they'll be like WoW where they are the same wherever you are unless of course someone wanted to make all those skins... i'm going for more of story and lore tie-in than aesthetics, but of course the terrain will be good. The reason the terrain is so mediocre in the one is because it's a cinematic and it isn't really played for a long time. I'll put a test map up when I finish the techtree and the first chapter, i'm about 70% done with the techtree, then I need to balance it all. I'll keep you guys posted on this. I'll be working a lot on it.

@darkwulfv - Thanks! I could ALWAYS use spell ideas. So far I have no spells, but I do have a team member working on them. The heroes in the campaign are Tidal Warrior (Spell Casting Warrior - Melee spells), Naga Warqueen (Melee Abilities only), Naga Sea Witch (From game - untouched [I may edit her later]), and Naga Enchantress (Powerful Spellcaster - should preferably have some kind of Enchanted Weapon as her ultimate). Those are all my heroes for now, but there is an ability I'm working on. It is kind of like the Spiked Barricades upgrade for the orcs except for it's called Coral Spines and what it does is, every time a melee attacker attacks a building effected by this, it gets poisoned for 10/15/20 seconds NON-STACKING. I can't figure out how to make this ability. Also, I need upgrade ideas and ability ideas for the race as a whole and for the buildings/productivity such as, "Hardened Claws - Increases Lumber Harvesting Speed by 10%" or something like that. I need stuff like that for all 3 tiers.

On another note, keep in mind that I'm still seeking a Naga UI and a Naga Cursor. T.D.G. from THW is doing my theme music. I need 1 building model and it's the "Tauren Totem" of the Naga race. It trains the royal guards so it should preferably be a Temple or something similar. It would need a Stand, Stand - Work, Birth, and Death animation.
