That's not terribly smart planning... for one, there's only one way across, so what's to stop them from just camping there? You have to be on the bridge to get a grasp of where they are so you can bombard them with grenades, and then what... really it seems like you just thought the terrain would look cool. That, and it seems as if it would be impossible to retrieve the flag if the enemy is about 10 feet in front of you, all he has to do is walk in a straight line to get back to his base. He can be idle while retrieving, it doesn't matter. You should add some skipping stones to jump across for the south and north parts of the river. That way they're vulnerable to fire, but it makes an alternate path to the base. |

yeah, it looks pretty simple. its also really really small, like 6 screens across the either map if even... it looks nice but I'm not sure how well it'll play. |

hmm i think the ET1 bunker was better (then again it was ma fav map). but generaly looking its ok. agreed with SM! tho. i think its too ez tp get across. i think the stepping stone idea is good so you have to jump from little block to little block to get accross. also whats the model file for the grass, if i may ask? |

The contrast on the bunker and the wc3 landscape is too much for me. Although it's a good terrain. |

Oh thx for replies. I was actually mainly just looking for feedback on the visual aspect, like grass, trees, rocks etc. If there was room for improvement perhaps? Note that the Arena has 2 Flags per side, so you can attack both sides at once & potentially score twice in 1 go. So although theres only 1 narrow bridge to cross, getting a flag is not that hard :p. I'd recommend giving it a try ingame first, before commenting on it thou. I've played it online quite a few times, perhaps I'm biased but its a very fun Arena. |

I think you should use less grass. Right now it looks just messy. You could try putting a few small trees and bushes there as well, but not too much. My personal opinion is that those little texture rocks around rock doodads look ugly and that you should lower the rocks till they dissappear. I like the design of the level with the exeption that returning with the flag can be hell. Perhaps there should be an alternative route, or the river should be narrower, so that it wouldn't be so hard to slip across the bridge under fire. |
