Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How to open *.7z file?A: Read this. Q: My antivirus says that this program is virus! A: If your antivirus detects this program as trojan, you probably have McAfee, Comodo, eSafe or Prevx. They don't know anything about exe-optimization-by-hands and UPX. Therefore I recommend to change antivirus. Q: What all those BLP settings for? A: Check butman_readme_eng.txt. That language is Russian... xD Russian resources often look great but some times they are either bugged or don't work. This needs some testing ... |

Aren't there like... 3 of these in the database? Why is this one any different? Quote:

Pyrogasm, yes, we can. Also this program allows to customize border applying (e.g. resizing image to specified bounds, changing border shading amplifier, etc.), it can save BLP with alpha channels (needed for infocards & scorescreens), it can import icons to map/archive, and so on. Hmm, there is some issue... One of the testers sent me report about found bugs 2 hours ago :) So I'm going to fix most of those bugs. |

Can you please put the change log in hidden tags and then elaborate in the first post on the pros/cons of using this program as opposed to the quarter-dozen in the database already? |

Screenshots and "pros and cons" added. Well, I'm continuing debugging, and I'm planning to upload fixed version tomorrow. Toadcop, hmm, I remember you said something like "no difference for me", are not you? :) |

This is a great tool, i tried it out for the extra icons i just submitted. Makes the whole process smooth and efficient, plus lowers the filesize a bit too xD +Rep |

Excellent tool. Looks much nicer than Wc3B. I will definitely be using this at some point. |

Found a bug: I can't save the files as non-BLP's. I tried saving an icon as a .jpg (using "Save File As"), but nothing happens; the icon never gets saved. |

i got that too, you have to type the extension yourself eg filename.jpg |

I can fix this, and I fixed it already but programmatic changes of file name have no effect while the dialog is active. This means e.g. the original file name "BTNPhaseShift.tga", and if you changed "file types" field to "... (*.png)", file name in the dialog would not be changed to "BTNPhaseShift.png" as expected, but actually program will save icon to "BTNPhaseShift.png". Anyway, thanks. Small tip: you can click on "Standard borders" ("Custom borders") label for quickly switching between two frameworks. What I've done recently: - Added information messages and some hints. - Added PNG format to icon wizard (and to "Settings"). - Added hotkeys for switching between standard and user borders. - Fixed some mistypes in dialogs. - Fixed bug when importing to mpq (program was added map header to archive). - Fixed bug with import (list file and import file were not removed after process). - Fixed bug listed above. |
