Still not textured, but the model itself I feel is more or less done. Any suggestions on improvements and/or corrections of flaws would be appreciated. ![]() |

The shoddyness is too random for my taste. |

I am not sure what shoddyness means, other than the fact that it's a negative remark. Could you instead of just saying that you dislike what I've done come with some suggestions on improvements? I am not very experienced with modelling yet and would appreciate the feedback. I realise that the house lacks some details at certain parts, this is one of the things I would like to receive feedback on. This is after all my first try at creating a house. EDIT: Perhaps the thread is more fit for the modeling forum instead of the actual gallery? |

Be Cartoonish or not to be Cartoonish, that is the question. :p This is not really Cartoonish. Some parts try to be cartoonish and some other are juste straite and rigid. I show you with the image attached. |

Yeah okay, I just called it cartoon'ish out of no idea what else to call it. The teacher wanted us to do irregular shapes. Anyways thanks for the critism! |

The thing i dont like about it is hard to describe. I'm guessing you're not a cartoonist per sé, not really apt at actually drawing cartoons? It just misses that certain feel and regulairity of style. heres a picture of a cartoony house model done quite right, with just a little bit more detail then you used. The style is consistant througout the image. |

Yeah, I am not actually into cartoon'ish stuff, it was a forced assignment. I more or less wanted to know if I got it right or not, I was not quite sure myself. However, while you people don't like the result, is the model work itself decent or does it stench of noob? Thanks for the reference picture, I'll give this another go in the near future and try to "cartoon it up" more. |
