I'm working on an inventory system and I need an icon to split item stacks (split a stack of potions from 10 to say 4 and 6). The icon I came up with is attached, but I'm not a huge fan of it. I don't know what to change though. Tell me what you think and what I should do. |

The arrows are nice, the bag is ... a bag, not an item. I'd maybe use pillage - it's a pretty good generic item in my opinion. |

Are you talking about this pillage? ![]() To me the icon as a whole looks more like a construction command button than an item, and the thing is the middle looks like currency. The reason I went with a bag as my first try was because it symbolizes groups of items and yet it remains generic. While writing this, I came up with a new idea of showing a split which I think looks cleaner (first attachment) The problem comes though when I want to make the combine button (since I need to fill an extra button slot to even out my buttons in the inventory). Unless someone comes up with either an idea for better icons, or even another icon that can replace "combine" then post. Right now I have 6 button slots and they are as follows: JASS:Destroy Item Sell Item Split Stack Combine Stack Drop Item Exit Inventory thanks again. Edit: if a mod thinks this may get more help in general development, can you please move it (as its become less of an art discussion and more of a system mechanic/appeal. Edit2: I actually hate it and like the arrows better (since it fits with everything else) Last 2 are my current icons unless someone changes my mind. |

Yea, arrows look way better. I sugest using 3-D arrows, like on the "move" command, or patrol, or... wait, there are way to many icons blizzard made with this arrow style... Oh, and the "Dive in\out water" or "Burrow in\out" also has this. |

Honestly, I wouldn't change it. This one is simple, and gets the message across. |
