I wrote a physics system for my olympics entry, and I want comments on it before I submit it as a resource. Are there even other physics systems like this? I know grim001 was making one, but I couldn't find it. |

Could you also post the code please? I don't feel like downloading the map. |

Had some weird bugs... The tornadoes got stuck to the units... and I think meta fucks with the physics rules right? Cause i used it a couple of times and then the ice wouldn't work, but other then that it confused the hell outta me. And it didn't seem the physics applied to stuff unless it was being moved by the engine I.E I walked up a really slope hill then I turned on that mountain king skill and couldn't get up the hill. |

I couldn't get kharma to do anything... I guess I kept dying before it worked? Also I cast the ice spell outside the camera bounds and the game crashed. Or it might have been that I cast it overlapping another instance of the ice spell, or it could just be the second cast... EDIT: Ahh, didn't notice that outside the map bounds was so near to outside the camera bounds... it was likely just setting non-existant terrain to ice then. So... don't do that. Make a check for... inboundness. |

The rocks seem to jerk around a lot. Well, more like, the animation isn't very smooth... I ran into some weird bugs, too, with cold snap. |

Maybe I should have been more specific. This is just the map I submitted to the olympics, it has the physics system in it. Not all the spells use it. Meta destroys a random handle [it's the evil spell], so you can see why it might have broken the physics . That's also probably why the tornadoes weren't destroyed (the timer was destroyed).I'll post it tomorrow [other computer] |
