well... it's a book I'm trying to write and I just wanted to post the prologue here and have some people try to continue it. Just to know how people will catch the idea and continue the story The Chronicles of power Illiuna City of Illusions. Illiuna, also known as The Fabled City, a city of splendor, here humans and spirits alike mingled with each other in peace and prosperity. Although this peace and harmony would forever be disturbed by events that right at that moment began to unfold. Solaris, guardian of the world Daltor, was patrolling the streets of the fabled city. Little did he know that on that very same night was a very ancient prophecy will begin to unfold, a prophecy made by one of the greatest chroniclers in legend, Chronicler Medranaia. A series of events so devastating that a rift will be created between the mortal and spiritual realms with Illiuna at its center. Archangel however, was completely unaware of what was about to happen for he was sent to govern the peace of Daltor long after the prophecy was made. TCOP Prologue: The Treachery of Ghiddon Solaris, guardian of the world Daltor and Incarnation of pure light was patrolling the streets of Illiuna, a city of grace and splendor, harmony and unity, where humans and spirits alike lived together without the fear of wars or any kind of battle. That night a scholar in the Crystal Tower, which houses the Eldar Crystal that protects the entire city from any evil beings, saw a beam of blue light shoot to the heavens from the Eldar Crystal. Knowing that this was the first of many events in the Medranaian prophecy the scholar immediately informed Solaris, Solaris was also puzzled about what happened but little did he know that he would be part of a great struggle between good and evil, a battle that would decide the fate of the world. Meanwhile in the deepest corners of the Netherworld, Ghiddon, High Necromancer and Lord or Darkness, who was banished to the Netherworld in the spiritual plane, was preparing to execute a plan that he made for the destruction of Light and all that was good. This plan was to coincide with the Eldar Eclipse, a lunar eclipse that happens every seven millennia caused by the power of the Eldar Crystal that momentarily creates a rift between the two planes of reality allowing Ghiddon to step through and separate the two planes of existence permanently. That eclipse was to happen on that very same night. As soon as Solaris came within full view of the Crystal Tower the eclipse began, and Ghiddon stepped forth from the Netherworld and found Solaris. Solaris was stunned by the greatness of the evil aura that seeped forth from Ghiddon. He said Take not another step forward you fiend Ghiddon then replied, Who are you to try and stop me, creature of the light, for your end is now We shall see whose days are numbered, fiend! And Solaris attacked with the fierceness of a lion and the full glory of the light, Ghiddon raised his hands and the army of the dead rose to serve him and attacked with all the cloying taint of the darkness. Countless undead fell and yet rose again with the wave of a hand, Solaris battled valiantly but alas their numbers were simply too great and he gave the last of his energy to release an expanding nova of pure light, and the dead rose no more. Although his effort was in vain for Ghiddon immediately closed in and paralyzed him. As the eclipse reached its climax Ghiddon immediately transported himself and Solaris to the KarakDor Ruins. The two arrived at the ruins at the exact moment that the light of the red moon focused upon a red crystal at the middle of the ruins. Letting Solaris out of his mind Ghiddon stepped up to the crystal and began to chant: Moon of blood Take this rod By the power of the twisting nether Divide the two planes forever And upon saying those lines Ghiddon presented to the crystal a staff with an orb filled with evil energies, beams of red light enveloped the staff and orb, lifting it above the crystal. Solaris tried to intervene but Ghiddon immediately silenced him. When the eclipse ended, both orb and staff broke, releasing pure evil to the world which transformed ordinary creatures into vicious bloodthirsty beasts. The ground around the city trembled and lifted it into the air, the ground underneath released more evil into the world, and a rift above the city appeared and all spirits in the mortal plane of existence vanished. Ghiddons evil plan had succeeded. But the people of Daltor did not lose hope for Chronicler Medranaia had promised that when the three crystal flames in the cities of Magdor, Aqueum, and Forium were lit, three heroes will be born and there will still be hope for the world. |
