Here be the Dwarven Thane aye. I've made a model based off Samwise's concept quite some time ago but wasn't completely happy with it so now I've made a remake. It's actually finished but I thought that it would be good to get some opinions before releasing it to public. Well then, give me some comments aye ![]() |

I have to be honest, dwarfs are not of my taste, but this one owns too much. Verrrry nice. |

The feet look a little odd, would be nice if they went out a little further instead of looking like they are just part of the legs. Or maybe that doesn't matter in-game. All in all this is pretty damn sweet, thumbs up! |

I liked the old thane and I like this one! It looks really good, though I think the skin has a bit too much grey :hmm: Maybe the horns shouldn't be metal, too? |

Too much metal you say? Well, in the concept horns are made from bones i think so maybe I should try it. |

Nice work, Norinrad. I have nothing to critique. This one goes straight into LoC when it's released |

Curse you, and you're amazing Dwarf models... Must.. resist.. making.. Dwarves! Seriously, great work. I especially love the glowy blue particles streaming off the hammer; nice attention to detail. Bone would probably look pretty cool on his horns, and reduce the metallic-overload. Great job overall. When do you plan on releasing? |

I want this model! It would fit perfectly in my map! It's nothing else than beautiful. Are you gonna release it so I can use it? (lulwut) +rep |

About realeasing, I think it won't take much time. I think that by the end of the week it should be released. Still, I need to tinker around helmet a bit. And thanks for rep ^^ Good to know someone's waiting for this : ] |

Imo, you should leave the horns the way they are. But if you must change it, put a leather/cloth wrap towards the bottom of the horns to add detail. |

I've been working around the horns for a bit and now I'm not sure about wnich variation I should choose. ![]() Middle one is closest to the concept but one cut horn kinda breakes vision of an epic warrior imo. The right one has the old horn with new boney texture. I looks fine I think. Left one has two horn with this metal thing on it's tips. It looks interesting but a bit overdone maybe... Well, I don't know. Any suggestions anyone? |

*Middle* - You're right, it fits the concept more precisely, but looks weird in real life. ... Day 23: I have finally referred to Warcraft and the Internet as "real life". My spiralling descent into madness continues. *Right* - I really like this one. The bone looks a lot more natural and 'dwarvish' to me. However; *Left* - The metal, to me, only makes more sense; what self-respecting Dwarf would settle for simple bone, when you could cap it off unnecessarily? :P However, somehow this one seems a lot taller than the plain-bone one; too tall, in fact. Perhaps shorten it a bit, blunt-en it too. *Result* - tie between Left and Right; Left with Changes = FTW? |

Right, it's simply awesome. Submit it or die. |

I like all 3 of them and to be honest, especially the one with the cut horn ^^ |
