Images and Height (Z Offset)

Hi. Looking at the trigger for images you can give them a Z offset, but it doesn't effect it at all (it doesn't get any height). Does anyone know why and how to fix it?

Since I have no experience dealing with this issue yet I know there's a tutorial...
