Anim Remover Error on Gnomish Inventor

This application by OlofMoleman is really really, really simple to use, so I have no idea how to solve this dilemma.

There's a model I would really like to use, but the animator didn't remove several animations that boost it's size unreasonably. The animator himself, Norinrad, is a contibutor of high quality models on this site.

The animations are labeled Disabled, so I imagine he wanted to remove them at some point. However, when I try to remove them the error arises:
Expected "{", got "X" in group "Bone" in "Insert\Path\of\Model\Type\Here\HeroGnomishInventor.mdl"!

Perhaps someone could tell me what I'm looking at here. Is it impossible for me to remove the unused animations on this beautiful model?

I began to play around with the tools some more and found that this error was actually quite normal. So I read a few tutorials, and found Yogbul's File Convertor, which got me around the problem. ( I was confused on how to convert it back to .mdl if I couldn't open it.)
