Skelatal Tactix:

Skeletal Tactix is a hero based, player vs. player game with up to 12 player support.

Game Mechanics:

- Victory Conditions:
- Kills = Kill = +1 score
- Kills/Deaths = Kill = +1 score. Death = -1.
- Timer = At end of game, (host specified) player with most score wins.
- Race = First Player to x (host specified) wins.

- Heroes
- Skeletal Mage:
- Mage Bolt: Deals damage Level of Ability * Magic (int) * 10 knocksback.

- Skeletal Warrior
- Charge: Runs at target point, knockingback and dealing damage to all those in the way.
- Strike: Attacks at melee with sword. Deals high damage.

- Skeletal Archer:
- Arrow: Fires a damaging arrow. Low mana cost and cooldown.

More Spell coming soon! Suggestions welcome

Overall Hero Structure:
- One kill = One Level.
- Can increase stats, when leveling up, using Stat Points (Lumber)
- Each skill has a large level skip, value and can only be leveled up so often
- Chosen at the start of the game
- Stats are:
- Magic = + mana and mana regen. Enhanced damage on magical skills.
- Might = + life and llife regen. Enhanced damage on strength skills.
- Dexterity = + movespeed and armor (dodge)

Items:
- Items in this game are very basic. Items will include:
  • Healing Potion (Over Time)
  • Mana Potion (Over Time)
  • Crystal of Magic
  • Crystal of Might
  • Crystal of Dexterity

Systems:
- Currently this game employs: TimerUtils, GetPlayerColoured and a projectile and knockback made by Bobo_The_Kodo.

I am however probably going to switch to Rising_Dusk's knockback system, as well as his Damage Detection.

Sounds pretty kool. So basically this is an arena? Have you thought about adding ai to this game? So yeah i'll make sure to try this map when you finish it.

Thanks, yes I have been thinking of adding AI. I would have to put some time into it for a proper response action thing, but I've done a little bit of AI before. It was, for a very different style game though. (Ice Warriors)

Lol i tried you ice warriors map and i have to say it was actually pretty fun. Although i found it quite chaotic and that it was hard to hit people when spining in circles.

Np sense i like supporting maps and giving feedback.

Ok so another type of spell for the mage could be something like Frost wave or something where ice shoots in a wave dealing dmg and leaving a slowing effect.

And maybe like aimed shot for the archer where it can shoot an arrow dealing dmg and leaving a wounding effect causing the target to loose hp for however long.

Well that's all i got from the top of my head. If you need more ideas i think i could come up with some.

What about that ice whirlwind from your ice warriors map? Maybe the warrior could use that as one of his spells.

Btw are there set teams? or is there going to be modes such as team and ffa?

I am going to add in modes, set by the host such as 4v4v4, FFA, 6v6. (Chat commands).

A Bladestorm is anther possibility.

I think you should rename the spells strike and arrow to something more flashy such as Axe Smash or Bloody Arrow.

Sounds great to see modes in a game like this. Btw is there going to be terrain or just bland medocare terrain?

And will there be any other classes?

Yeah because iam quite tired of the same bland terrain crap seen in most maps. Example: Footmen Frenzies (Although i don't know where this one guy went who was working on this footmen map)

I was thinking there would be undead orcs in the map but maybe you could add more undead type units that aren't just bones and stuff like death knights or liches possibility.

Edit: Hopefully if i get internet set up for my comp in my room i could mebbe beta test :P . I usually have alot of spare time although school's coming up.

I could branch out. I'm considering scrapping Skeletal altogether, and just using any model that suits my fancy.

Try to keep it to one theme, and theme the terrain in a good skeletal format. It'll look and feel great.

That said, a healing potion for a skeleton is... well... yeah...

For heroes, this is my suggestion:

Skeletal Mage
Focus: mass damage, AoE, destruction, very fragile and slow
Special: randomises between Fire/Frost/Poison/Lighting (from Diablo)

Skeletal Warrior
Focus: defense, tanking, deflecting spells/arrows with shield, average damage

Skeletal Archer
Focus: assassination, ambush, long-ranged, speed, single-target damage
Special: randomises between Fire/Frost/Poison arrows (and tinting colour to match!)

Skeletal Brute (Undead Orc model)
Focus: bashing, unstoppable melee damage, resistance to spells

In terms of rock-paper-scissors:

Warrior > Archer > Brute > Mage > Warrior

This will, however, make it kinda awkard for FFA gameplay, so I would suggest a 3v3v3v3 mode.


Spell ideas:
Mage
Bonesplatter: The mage explodes, sending 15-20 sharp bone projectiles in random directions, dealing damage to enemies. (perfect for "im bout ta die, ill tak u wif meh!!")

Warrior
Impossible Block: reflects any projectiles for 2 seconds (even uber1337 mage spells)

Archer
Cluster Arrow: fires a large, slow-moving arrow that explodes above the target location, raining shrapnel downwards
Phase Projectile: fires an arrow that moves in a straight line, going through terrain, obstacles and units with a maximum distance

Brute
Epic Finale (passive): has a 25% chance to cause victims to split into many small projectiles when killed
Death Bash: magical ranged bash. of doom.
