i think there should be little stumps where arms and legs come out of the torso, then the chains come out of the stumps.. it just looks awkward right now
but yeah, best have lots of blood emitters on that model!

Wow. That's like, -15 HP just for looking at it. :P

Missed my saving throw. CRIT! -34 HP.

Wow is all I can say. I simply love the concept and the execution, the feet are especially well-drawn. Simply superb, I dare say.

I, too, love teh feet. However, the toes on the left foot seem rather... over-extended. Like, they should be extended due to his pose, but they stretch farther than that.

Just my take.

Of course they are, the tendons are cut, meaning they can bend in ways a person would never normally be capable of. Additionally, it adds character to the monster, belying a sense of inhumanity in it -- Which I trust you will agree should very much be present.

it looks like it's supposed to, like a chunk of meat with chains sticking from it...though what you're saying is not a bad idea. I might incorporate it in the model, if I'm not feeling lazy.

As for the toes, I didn't really thought of them like Dusk did, but anyway I really can extend my toes like that :P

I don't know how I get the colors this way, I don't find them special at all...I just follow basic rules of thumb. Sometimes I just can't get them right though, so then I'll look at references and draw a little still life of what I find on my desk, to calibrate myself. That kinda works.

Thanks to everyone for the comments! Expect the model soon. Damn, I haven't made a model for wc3 in such a long time...

Dude, that's bitchin'. Seriously good stuff. The chains do look a bit odd, but they're still pretty cool.

My favorite part is prolly the feet, though.

Well, I don't think it should have feet. For one the walk anim may be awkward. Maybe it should float like the generic Wc3 elemental? By the way, a few more spikes jutting out of the torso's flesh may add more flavor to it, methinks.

Yeah, the feet could be weird to animate. Maybe a pile of entrails hanging from the torso, mixed in with the chains?

But the feet are what make it interesting and gruesome in it's own way. They really make it a finished product, rather then just another elemental/undead creature.
