WT 91 - Transition

10-20-2008, 09:52 PM#1
2-P
This week you’re supposed to show the transition between two (or more) different looking areas. A transition is not restricted to landscapes, it could be anything from light into darkness to flesh into metal.
Please also note that a transition is not necessarily smooth.

It's a good idea, but the execution is lacking.

Mc !
Work a tiny bit on the ambience Kinor, for instance you could put the Z start of the fog at 0 so it looks more natural, and a greyish fog could help, and try to make the jungle stalker more notorious perhaps by changing the camera angle.

And btw am I the only one in this?

That one's pretty good, though I'm not sure what you're trying to emphasise. The water versus the flora? The two sides of the river against each other? I know it's winter on one side and a tropical paradise on the other, but the weight of the blue fog kinda makes it hard to see what you're trying to do.

It's good, though.

I'd like to start by saying this is a good idea for a theme, 2-P :D

I'm happy to see people are willing to put forth a little to help the other terrainers. :D I'd also like to add a little to your terrain, Kinorhynkar. First of all you made a great improvement from the first terrain to the second. That goes without saying. One thing I'd like to say though, is that the tint of the fog you used, to me, makes it look like the entire scene is underwater. Other than that, beware of the little green circle of death.

Damn I always forget, about the green circle.

Touched Up.

The troll on the right looks like a scaly rock, but I like it!

Hopefully not!

I love the water in your 2nd shot, with the glittery moon(?)light reflection. =)
