The question is very simple

I need to know what spells can be cast while the caster is entangled, also interms of gameplay mechanics whta is the difference between Entangle and Ensnare? (Besides the obvious such as ensnare targettting air and Entangle dealing DoT).

One of them allows the trapped unit to attack, the other does not.
As far as im aware that is the only difference, appart from the DoT which you mentioned.

While ensnared you can still attack nearby targets, while entangled you can't.
I think that you can cast all of your spells (except Blink and other similar teleport spells) while ensnared/entangled.
Correct me if I'm wrong

Entangle is kinda the same like stun, while ensnare only nullfies movement. Still allows attacks. (Silence can be set to disable attacks if I don't remember wrong...)

No, it is not. Since you can still cast spells while entangles or use items like tp (think of the blademaster duplicating himself while entangled).

Also, Entangle can be dispelled by dispels, Stun can't.

Thanks for all the input. but what i really need to know is that what no target instant casted ability can be activated while entangled.

Mirror Image is definately out since it generates illusions and isnt very friendly as a dummmy spell.

Try Channel?

Roar would be another good idea.

You can always trigger the spell if you need too...

Mirror Image (if it can't be set to 0 Illusions) can have a super-low Expiration timer on the Illusions themselves. They'd be gone before you noticed.

Nuclear Arbitor
with a nice pop effect...

Or just remove the ability (Cause mirror images to instant disappear) then just re-add the ability
