Ghost's face experssion is just awesome, as is the whole render. I find it really cute how the ghost has three fingers :D |

Obviously the ghost ate the knobs. But this is awesome work... haha it has a strange cuteness to it. What was it, like a Halloween contest or something? |

I guess so. Halloween theme actually, for the contest is held every month. |

This looks like it was modeled and rendered for one of those Pixar movies. Seriously, dude, superb work. Other than the kid's hair color and no wardrobe handles, I can't say anything. |

I didn't even notice the no wardrobe handles. The greatness of everything else made me forget you even needed handles to open things like that. Like mentioned, the hair is just a bit too yellow, and that's the only real problem. |

the ghost's expression (that tells a short story of what's going on here) and the wallpaper (which reminds me of toystory) are my favorite part the boy's hair is my least favorite part edit: my problem with the hair is not that it's too yellow, but that it's too shiny, sharp, and.. matted down in the back, iunno, it looks like he used a shitload of gel in the back but not the front, or that it has it's own wierd little depth of field |

It looks like it would be really awexome, but it's waay to dark to tell. Could be just me, though. I love the ghost's expression. :P |

looks too plastic and the cabinet appears to be equally illuminated on all sides..as if you just used an ambient light source there, and nothing else. |
| 11-04-2008, 02:07 PM | #14 |
Must've been my computer/position, because now I can see it. ~~ Wow, that is really cool, TDR. I agree, it is Pixar-ish quality. Amazado! |

Wow, thanks everyone for the comments...though I don't really agree about the Pixar-ish look, I'm flattered by you saying it. Of course it's dark, it's supposed to be at night :P...but it's not THAT dark, I can see it clearly on my monitor. The cabinet clearly does not look illuminated equally on all sides...the side opposite to the light source is visibly darker, plus that in shadow there's only ambient and indirect light, and there's not much indirect light coming from moonlight. And honestly I don't know know why it all looks like plastic to you except for the hair, which really is poop. :/ That's how varnished wood looks like, I have furniture made exactly like that in my house and it looks pretty similar, it reflects a LOT. |
