Yes, that's right, an interview! Magic/Dave/Dr. Robotnik/Cher over at SA Mods has been kind enough to post an interview John and I recently did with him. There's some new screenshots, some insight into our development process, and some unneccessarily long ranting from yours truly. Check it out! http://samods.org/node/170 |

So, whatever happened to the "official" forum at Rampaging Polygons? |

Kickass! It looks like the job will get done. |

It's good to see some life! I still pop in this forum every now and then just for this mod, as I am in the same boat in appreciation for that old story. It's interesting to hear what you've got to say about your mod and Warcraft's overall story progression, from where it was back in the 90's till now... which is icky (although, I do level mostly humans because I like the Defias storyline so very much). edit: 12th post in six years. That's pretty good. |

I actually do too. Edmund VanCleef is going to be the Baron of Sentinel Hill in DoC; his son will appear in Into the Twisting Nether, as you visit the newly rebuilt city of Stormwind. |

Great interview guys (already checked it out). While I never played Wc1 (and thus am only barely into your project :P) I can certainly appreciate hard work. Good to see it's still up-n-up! Oh yeah, and make sure (everyone else) to check the Heart of Storms interview on the same site. |

Can anyone think of the sorts of regular updates they'd like to see? I know it's hard as hell to keep interest when we're so silent all the time, and like I said in the interview, I'd love to keep a dialogue running since it has such a positive effect on our efforts. I have a few ideas of my own but I'd appreciate your input. Ask and, within reason, you shall receive. |

Personally, I always love models and techtrees/race schemes. Playable bits are always great, too, although you run into the problem (stated in the interview) of "not perfect enough" and, also, the difficulty of just releasing bits of the gameplay. |

Tech trees, eh? ...hurm... that's something I could do. I've also always wondered whether anybody really cares about the characters and locations being used in DoC. That is, whether anybody would be interested in writeups about them. Flavour stuff. Background. A timeline. See, the other stuff I have to carefully set up from the tools John gives me. Written stuff I can do myself. But... there's a lot of projects out there that seem to be a very long design bible with absolutely no sign that anything will ever see implementation. Projects that seem to consist entirely of a tech tree and storyline description thread. I don't want us to look like that, seeing as how we've got a more complete project now than many supposedly finished mods can claim... So... is that sort of material something anybody would be interested in? I take requests. I won't be offended if nobody's interested, though. You'll all have to sit through my lurid rambling story soon enough. Mwa. Keep it coming. |

very hot new stuff in the first human mission guys! how about showing off some more character models of the guys mentioned in the old interview Quote:
oh btw.. why isn't Alonsus Faol mentioned? he played a vital role |

I see Faol in that list. |

~~~ Yea, sure. Personally, I'm 'mildly interested' in reading "flavor text", and 'pretty interested' in reading Techtrees. Esp. that Road mechanism. Is that particularly complex and/or JASSed? I was thinking off adding a similar mechanic to one of my projects. |
It would be cool if you can put up some new unit model screenies like you did in the past(Way back in the past when it was still a thread xD). That would display to people that you are working on the project still. -Av3n |
but anyway could we see some more screenies of the other characters? so far we've only seen grom, lothar, doomhammah, khadgar, and blackhand.. |
