Well, I haven't mapped quite a while, I think more than a year has passed, and I played a lot of warcraft, so I got the idea to map again. I started this project a week ago. So this is the story:

Ghoul's tale

In the city of Sha' Sahar, the city of the dead, deep in the Plaguelands, a young Necromancer prince Antharanos has been developing a perfect ghoul. He was trying to make him inteligent, and also strong, with improved armors. His goal was to unite the Plaguelands under one banner. The Necromancer banner. Only the best ghouls were taken for his experiments, as he was the prince. He was sure that his latest experiment will work, he took one of the finest ghouls he had ever seen, known only as Night Ghoul guard 76-4, and he tryed to plant him the mind of one of his apprentices. But the experiment failed, and the ghoul only made a poor growl, before he fell on the ground lifeless. The ghouls body was thrown among with the other trash down the river Asna, which flows through the city. But in his blindness, the Necromancer did not see that the ghoul was still alive, and that the experiment had worked, he created the finest ghoul, an inteligent death machine, that could easily kill any abomination, using its brains. The ghoul woke up somewhere on a river bank in Azeroth, and even though the ghoul didn't understand why was he there, he felt a link with his master, and he was sure he must return to him, to show him that he has survived.

-----------------------------------------------------
This is the prolouge, I will post some pictures and maybe the cinematic map tomorrow.

So from here the actual playing begin, as you control the ghoul. The actual return to the Necromancer will be only in one or two missions, in the rest of the missions you will play as the Necromancer, who is trying to rule the Plaguelands.
-----------------------------------------------------
Concept:

Prologue: A ghoul's tale
Chapter I: Escape from Akond
Chapter II: Across the ocean
Chapter III: Islands of Hon' Alon
Cinematic: A masters call
Chapter IV: Plaguelands
Chapter V: Sorrow
Cinematic: Dark deeds

Reveal for prologue and map 1 info:
Hidden information:
Map 1: Prologue - you see how the ghoul was trying to be made, and how the necromancers "failed" it. You also see that the necromancer has an alliance ally.

Map 2: Escape from Akond - the river dragged you to the kingdom of Alaria, which is south of the plaguelands, and you were found on the bank of the river by two fishermen, who thought you are some kind of an eadible animal. They took you to their city, Akond and put you in front of their house to dry up during the night. You wake up during the night realising that this is the only chance of escape. Basicly a timed mission.

List of custom skins and models:

Undead Mage skin - bounty hunter2

I will need beta testers, as my clan is dead xD, so if anybody wants it will be more then welcome. Any feedback on the story would be nice too. Ideas suggestions are also welcome.

NOTE: there won't be much special systems or complicated triggerwork in this project, I'm aiming on originality and terrain. I will maybe make a unique casting system I had in mind before but nothing to special, it will be a Blizzard like campaign.

Wait what, a blizzard-like campaign? When I first read the story I was like "amazing, a complex strategic thinking game" (the brains part) but then as I read on you don't really use the ghoul but you use the necromancer. So what exactly do u mean by blizzard campaign?

Oh and if this turns out okay I'd be glad to test it out.

i gues it would be better if you'd take ages to get to your master again and only play the ghoul i guess!
(exchaning body parts insted of armour was my first thought :P)

Well with this i mean no special features, just a simple campaign, like blizzards ones, no special systems, stuff like that.

lol not bad xD

Maybe the necromancer would appear only as an ally and you won't be able to control it, it is a better idea, thanks. I'l post images in a few minutes.

Edit: uploaded images to the topic.

Anything singleplayer is good in my book. I don't like Undead at all, but I'd be interested to see how you pull this off.

I haven't seen many undead campaigns so i started it, anyway, i added the beta prologue to the topic, hmpf the loading screen is the warcraft world, but its for now beacuse i haven't found any better loadscreen, the campaign is situated in another world, not in the warcraft worl, I will make a map of it in a couple of days. Anyway fell free to open the map in WE its very simple anyway.

Edit: no music is in the map I am still searchin.

Okay I know it's supposed to have a dark atmosphere, but don't you think that's a little bit TOO dark? So far sounds nice though so :)

I didn't notice that the images look so dark xD... I removed them for now as you don't see a thing. I added a brighter one. And as for the actual map I think the dark fade is fine. I'l try experimenting. Thanks on the comment

Will your campaign use existing models and skins or will you use custom models and skins?
Because the normal ghoul model I think would not fit your character, just a minor change add armor to him and shredded pieces of clothing.

no custom models, maybe some houses, as for the skins, I created a undead mage skin, and maybe I will try the ghoul.

Hi,

I watched the cinematic and I liked it. I like the dark atmosphere and the terrain. I would like to know how is the progress of the other maps going?

And I saw the skin, it looks okay, it would fit your campaign.
