Well, just smashed this one together.
But I'm not quite sure if it's very representative of the LoC Mod.

What do you think?

I think it's a little small. You should aim to use the whole space provided. Also, I have no idea if that's representative of the project or not; you'd be the authority there.

Well, jugding from the screenshots I've provided I guess you could have a fairly decent insight of the map is like.

Anyway, I don't know about it's size. I plan to crop the black out, thus making in smaller. Since the black was never intended to be included.
I choose a red (burned village) background because it's eye catching :P

Screenshot insight into a map is hardly as intimate as the kind of understanding the mapmaker himself has into the machinations of his own work. :p

It's certainly lacking a bit in 'awesome', though, is about my only concrete comment.

I guess you're right.

Anyway, I tried to resemble Blizzard's style with their official maps.
But I guess i'll give it run through photoshop again...

I don't like that pointy, dark wing on the helmet.

Actually come to think of it... The shading is very strange

Archian, I suggest to make a bigger picture so we can do a more objective opinion. But yes, in minimap images every pixel is valuable, so try to avoid frames and distracting stuff.

It's hard to tell what is going on, and the 'wing' on his helmet throws me off.

Also, the blood just looks . . . odd, but that might be just me.

I find it awesome, distant gaze, burning village in back, shows true meaning of war.

i dont think this shows the true meaning of war. merely a glimpse of it.

The true meaning? What is the true meaning?

I suppose a someone hitting a shield that his (or her) enemy is wielding. That would signify defence of ones self and in retrospect, ones nation.
