Changing allowed targets for illusions

It's possible to make mirror images deal a % damage of the original unit, but is it possible to control their allowed targets and make them different from the original unit?

Example: Original units can attack structures and units, I want the illusions to only be able to attack structures.

Any good solutions to this?

You would have to trigger it with different units. There is no way to change a unit's available targets in-game.

Can you chaos-morph an illusion?

You mean like the demon hunter's morph? Make an identical clone for the illusions, give them the ability via triggers to be able to morph to the clone which can only target structures? Hmmm... I'll give it a try. It might be a bit tricky.

You don't have to use Demon Hunter's Morph ability and order your clone to use it, you can use the Chaos ability.
However I don't think that you can add abilities to clones, am I wrong?

EDIT: another idea (not tested), try to use some upgrade such as the Chimaera breath one, it may work...

Yeah, I meant adding a chaos-based ability (the ones that morph the unit when added) to the illusions. However, I don't know if this would work because I don't know:
  1. If you can add abilities to illusions.
  2. If illusions can even morph.

Bah, no good.

Turns out you cannot add either active abilities or abilities based on chaos to illusions. Only passives.

But you can actually add abilities to Illusions? (didn't know that) What do you use; "Summoned Unit"?

I dunno how you do it. I was just selecting them and then in my trigger I was adding abilities to the units currently selected by player 1.

Thanks for the help. I decided to take the easy route and remove it altogether since there doesn't seem to be a viable solution. It didn't make or break the map anyways.
